Since I started playing, some 8 odd months ago, I've been rockin the Greeks. They have served me very well & have gotten me to the point I'm at. My love for them however, has slowly been going out the window with each passing day. Trust me fellow Greek-ians, it breaks my heart to admit that.

So my question to the forum is; I'm wanting to start a revolution & switch to the French (I'm very active so that 20% is highly appealing as well as having 24 donations), should I?

I was with you until you said you were switching to the French. I've been French since the beginning in May and I'm wrestling with switching to Japanese or selling completely out and going Roman LOL.

You may get a benefit out of the 24 troop donation. I haven't noticed a big difference and since my Reliable Cavalry nerfed into a weak tank, There's been whisperings of revolution around my Town Center

I'm with Will, wait for the next cock-update - who knows what will happen and to which Nation.

I heard French will be getting a nerf so maybe you want to wait for the update first.

I've stuck with the Greeks since the beginning too, Jwinn. I'm waiting for the rebalancing to be announced but I'm tempted by Korea and Britain at the moment. The extra 10% loot bonus seems the most useful for me personally. I do like the the Greek architecture though so it will be a shame to lose that. Just have to wait and see what is in store for each nation first.

Pretty similar for me except I play the japanese, but I don't see anymore what this nation is bringing. Infantery was cool on earlier age but in IA it's useless. Peace treaty and defending TC are anectodical. I have the feeling to play a basic nation with no advantage :) so i will change. My heart goes to brit or korea because ranged armies are dominating the later ages. Just waiting the next update and will make an educated decision based on what it will bring.

I've been playing French since the beginning and I have no complaints so far. It seems the nerf is coming so I'll stay as I am until I check out the update.
Anyway, many of my friends say I should switch to Chinese, which most consider very balanced

I've been Greeks since the very beginning too (and also a follower of your base set ups Jwinn). I wish to change, but I have yet to decide which one to change too - it seems to me French are due a nerf, as any honest French player will admit that their nation is OP compared to all others - to the point that there is no reason NOT to be French after EA. The likelihood that the rest of the nations will be buffed to match the French is laughable as it'll most likely break the game. So yes - French due a nerf, and I say that without sour grapes.

The problem with the greeks is that once you get to higher ages, their buffs become redundant. The fast upgrade button is pointless on several day upgrades, and the refund is minor. They only need a small buff, however, to bring them more in line with the rest of the nations - however ultimately I do not think they suit my play style. I'm an active raider, so I'd be best suited with an attacking-orientated nation. I'm actually thinking Germans.

As others have said, I'm waiting on the update before I decide.
