Question: I’ve got a team that has a very actice core (some of us have been together for more than 3 years), but I have several that have been inactive for 30+ days that are outside the original group. We are trying to recruit, so my question is “how much does total medal count effect the recruiting process?” If I kick those out that have been inactive for 30+ days the team will loss 2500 team medals! Thanks for any advice/input in advance.

I don't think medal count will affect your recruiting. Most of the time lower medals are better anyway. There's more loot. Medal chasing isn't worth it

Thanks KingDarius, any ideas/thoughts how the loss in medals could effects match making in world war? Right now our match making is pretty rough, Wonder is the lower medal count could make things easier for the team during world war.

Medals doesn't affect matching in war either. The only thing that affects matches is offensive/defensive weight of your war lineup

Honestly where you only have about 10 active members you would probably be better off joining an established alliance where you can participate in some bigger wars with more active players.

Kick them out, lowering medal counts won't hurt you at all. Some claim that booting a few members gets you pushed closer to the top of the search lists, so you gain more new ones faster.

Most of the ones who join won't last and you will have to purge. But when people have quit, you have to move on eventually.

I would never join an Alliance with lots of inactive players. To me, a good Alliance keeps things active and fresh. Worrying about Medals makes no sense. Worrying about growing your Alliance the right way makes sense, who cares about Inactive medal counts.

Don’t know why KingDarius say that the medalcounts doesn’t matter in WW, I think the opposite- until I reduced my medals down, we become every time a weaker enemys in WW ( I was the only player with too much medals).

Interesting, Master Momo - yeah i went ahead and kicked the nonactive players out & surprisingly the team barely lost much in total medal count. We should have dropped almost half our medals and we only lost about 500, maybe less! It will be interesting to see how the next WW goes and if we get any easier of opponents or not. Thanks for your input!

Thanks for the feedback Mountianking. We dropped a few inactive players and that could have an effect on the level of opponents in ww. We seem to have gotten an easier one this time, but the war isn’t over yet!

Medals have no impact at all upon WW matchmaking. If you got an easier match it's a coincidence.

Inactive accounts should be regularly kicked unless you use them as sandbags. Most good players will avoid alliances with inactives like the plague.

So how does everyone define inactive? I kick at 14 days no login unless notified. Sometimes less if no progress or donations. Too lenient?

14 days is my limit too. especially if under lvl 100. 14 days at that point in the game is an eternity. long term allies get longer on case-by-case basis. We try to make it clear that everyone kicked for inactivity is welcome back when they return and is re-promoted to their prior post.

Thanks Papa10x & Dvicious - that sounds like a good policy to use going forward now that I’ve cleaned up the team.

1) medals dont count anything. Dont look players by medals. I can be 200 medals or 2200 medals, it doesnt show much.
2) what you do need is active players and those that have logged in lately and UPDATED the game, then you can put low levels in war and donate to their bases to balance off being too strong.

Thanks for the feedback - Luuzer

The loss in medals has been surprisingly low compared to the total medal count for the team. I guess the game doesn’t weigh medals from inactive players as high as ones from those that play every day?

Also, our recruiting efforts have picked up and the team is starting to grow.

Thanks again
