Level "rushed" to GA today

So i took advantage of the instant upgrade and went to GA today.

First 2 things i noticed for looting:
1. Food/Gold seems to be in less quantity and better protected
2. Oil- is so much greater in quantity.

So it seems like at least right now its going to be a bit harder for me to grind food/gold but getting my oil upgrades should come easier. I think im going to need to adjust my normal attack strategy to target oil better. Right now it takes 20ish or more minutes for me to fully rebuild my armies after going for 2-4k oil (seems to be the average i see)

I have yet to regret this move.

What medal range are you playing?
Try 400-700 there's alot of abandoned bases there

You think they are better protected because you have industrial troops. When i went global before 5 months i had the same issue. When i was industrial i was getting huge loot from EA bases and i was a little disappointing with global age loots. With max global army and 4 fighters mk6 it will change at all. All these bases you see now will be as easy as EA bases when you were industrial.

Yeah im hovering around 700 medals, im loving it. Im getting oil so much faster now. Ive farmed 37k oil today and that wasnt grinding like id nomrally have to do.

I suggest while waiting for your troops to finish drop medals, unless you're playing germans

And BTW you have to edit your base since TH can now hit you

I went as well, and haven't seen much difference (still around 1000-1200 medals). Probably need to drop down a bit.

I haven't been attacked any more than usual since the change. One industrial hit me, for a few crowns to me and a little oil to him. But no skies opening and atomics raining down fire so fire.

only attacks on me are medal droppers or people hoping my resources are in my production buildings and quit deploying after the realize they are not.

Probably cuz you have nothing )) oil is the only valuable resource , nothing else matters ) and you will not attract my attention unless you have 3000+ for stole .But on the bright side you have plantly of industrial bases to take over (once you upgrade your army).

I typically wont have more than 2kish oil to grab. I try to upgrade every building using the discount and i try to grind all that oil in one sitting. If there is no building discount then i have plenty of troops/research to spend it on so it doesnt make me attractive.

Next week will be the true test if i can farm oil well enough as im hoping to upgrade fort to level 5 and airstrip to level 3. And if i get really lucky ill get one of my bunkers to level 3.

Yes i am. Im not going to pass up the instant upgrade. And hope to knock out some very expensive oil buildings while they are half off for the next 2 weeks. I also want to unlock some of the better techs i cannot get to yet in the library. I feel moving up will help my alliance in wars being able to take the load off the few that have FH and to also have a stronger base for defense in war.

We are thinking alike in that, and I have the same plan. Just reached level 149, should be 150 before the end of the week to hit atomic. Long term, I think it is absolutely the right call.

But it is going to be a bit of a grind for a while. Especially hitting AA while still having industrial troops - my armory will be done as soon as the global rush starts, but not planning to rush any troop upgrades. So ranged siege and ranged infantry will be atomic in a few weeks, while everything else is industrial still.

I havent upgraded my armory to GA yet, waiting until next week for the discount Ill do my AA armory when it is discounted then. Im trying to use all my food/gold to upgrade walls as much as possible during the discounts.

Its going great actually. Im earning oil in raids at a much higher rate than i was able to prior to moving up. Ive saved 157.5k oil during the IA event (bunker level 2, 2nd bunker to level 1, biplane level 2 and 3)so far and will start triplane sortly to add another 27.5k oil saved to that total.

Ive also saved millions on wall upgrades, library level 7, 2x barracks to level 8, my 3rd air defense

My plan for next week is to do air strip 3, bunker 3, fort 5, armory 9, alliance gate 8, war academy 7 and merc camp 9, howitzers and sub machine guns then at the end of the GA event move up to AA.

all these buildings want at least 1 week to finish them. Airstrip lvl3 want 12 days,if you start to upgrade it next week how you will find citizen to upgrade your town center(12 for atomic)?Bunker lvl3 want 10days,armorylvl9 7days(also you cant upgrade troops when are you upgrading your armory so no howitzer yet),alliance gatelvl8 10days,war academylvl7 8days,and merc camp another 10days.

Have you considered your oil rate is better because of the recent emperor events, not because of the raiding?
Just saying, beware when 'normal' raiding returns in a few weeks.

Ypergamias, i have crowns to instant finish buildings when needed. I will crown the armory as soon as i start it so i can do howitzer/submachine gun upgrades. I can let them go the full 10 days for upgrading.

if im running short on crowns then ill wait until the end of the week to instant finish some buildings so i can then do the TC to AA upgrade, then start a few more buildings. If im not able to upgrade a couple of the non-oil buildings then thats fine. My #1 concern is air strip and fort, then bunker 3.

Manifesto, yes i do know its a bit better because of the event, but i also see oil on every base now, so many EA bases i would see didnt have oil or, even during this event, only had like 200 oil.
