Library Research Won't Complete

I have a library research whose time has elapsed. It has now gone into negative seconds, and won't complete. Says I can finish for free, but when I press that it just tells me I don't have enough crowns. It is frozen and counting down lower into negative seconds. I have tried to log a support ticket but that failed, all it said was "Can't submit request, try again later". Nothing I do does anything, just sitting there. Any ideas?

For the love of God no it was a very long research. Like 16 days long.

I know. But I don't think there is any way you can finish the update. The CS team will investigate your problem but I don't think they can finish your investigation, at least I don't think it is "ethical" to update user things. The simplest solution I see is for them to give you the necessary crowns to cancel and do the instant update.
But that's for them to decide.

Try clicking on the building and not the search completed icon. Sometimes it can work.
