Absolutely the Airstrip! Then ASAP complete the research in the Libary, chapter 3 in Aviation. It is the first troops that have been a game changer for me, even though my factory is up to lvl 3 chasing after the oil events. I have had Biplanes for about two weeks now, triplanes in 2 1/2 days and SoL wonder in 10 days (woot woot). Having the most fun ever playing the game! Because of my poor internet connection
I now rarely use mercenaries, Armor or Weapons blessings, I spend no crowns on either of those item anymore(use to). Attacking Global accounts up to 20-30 XP levels above myself and stealing mass resources. Coming home with over 500-750K gold and food each, plus 2-4.1 K oil. Had to change up my attack strategy first. Instead of Sabotaging Motars, I now attack Mortars with planes and Sabotage the Air defenses, Redouts, and Towers in that order of priority. Hoping to take on bigger players with the MK3 triplanes. But I disagree that Factory troops are useless. Yes riflemen better bang for your efforts. When I am attacking I get a donated Guerrilla/Saboteur, they are Monsters (IMO) when properly used. They have high hit points, and demolish defense building in seconds, including Fort, TC and Refinerys (if they survive that long). They also destract the spawning defenders from buildings instead of attacking your mass group of attacking troops. There are a lot of players that have not reset their traps or chose not to (thank you very much) and are holding lots of resources. I play Japanese, currently Industrial, XP lvl 138.
