So just an observation - why do you get a less capable army for the same crown cost as a function of age? Given crowns have a $ value, why should something that costs the same have different capabilities? Event armies are stronger as you progress through the ages, but you also have to achieve more in order to earn them. But I don't see why a gunpowder age player should have to pay the same crown cost to get a less capable army than an atomic age player paying the same amount.

Not looking to get into the "should you even be able to buy these" but more what seems unfair given the current set up.

I do like the NTG trading for tactics. I had several saved up and when I upgraded my war academy those were super helpful and allowed me to be in war as it upgraded. I would encourage any of you guys who have not upgraded your war academy to think of this option. You can fill your tactics while the upgrade takes place.

Good question. I believe it is because they need to cap off stats for Troop Cards for each age it is bought at. For example if the stats of the Army I'm buying is set at let's say Industrial Age no matter which age you are, anyone above Industrial Age is getting ripped off because the stats of that troop card are obsolete to them, anyone bellow Industrial Age is getting a good deal due to a super troop they are purchasing. Enlightenment Age players and below in wars would then be able to buy Industrial Age troops with money which makes the game very unfair and biased towards people who spend money on troop cards. Therefore to balance it, you're getting the equivalent of your age for that troop card to avoid this scenario. It would be a nightmare if we saw Enlightenment Age players running around in WW with Atomic Age troop card stats.

Yes, they go in to your inventory and can be saved indefinitely. I am collecting different ones for the next time my War Academy is upgrading as well. Already have a pile of protect and some betrayal from previous weeks.

Yea, but they're not those premium troops. How can I steamroll bases if I don't have Elephant Archers?

it's not about having premium troops it's about having extra capacity army more than anyone esle in the game
watch KA videos on YT u will see them using 3-4 cards almost in all their attacks, not necessarily elephant archers, in fact elephant archers are overpowered in defense not offense

am talking about supplying premium players with more and more cards so they don't run out of cards even if they use 4 per attack, cuz if they do so they will consume more than the regular offers provide for cash

They can decide a match, I get that. I'm a bit upset they're selling them for crowns via Marco Polo, too. I just wasn't making that clear because I was being sarcastic with my first comment. I apologize for the sarcasm.
