Medieval "Donut" Farming base (Resource protection)

Yes it has the extra 10 walls. Im using the donut more, never changed it back, and im going gunpowder in a few days :)

I'm currently using this one but I would like to use your donut layout when I hit medieval. Are there any changes you would make to my current one? Keep up the great designs!

i am loving the donut strategy. one slight mod for me is i only protect two resource buildings in the mid due to low wall numbers since i put barriers in the donut to comparmentalize it. . works for me because i am usually logging off with one of the two resources depleted. im medievel and now i am so rarely attacked. and when i am its rare the get all my resources.

Wallonsi, if I remember correctly one mod I did to that base was put divisions in the middle compartment, had to make it a little longer for that too, if I find a picture with that mod I will share it.

ChelseaFC, you are very welcome, im glad it's helping you. And I agree with you, it's a great idea overprotecting 2 resource buildings of one resource if you usually deplete one the other.

xmoonstruckx, I think you can make a donut without the extra walls, loosing the division inside and maybe cutting 1 corner building or something.

95% of the times I lost 0 storages, and the other 4.9% of the times I lost only one. only a couple persons took almost the full third storage, I was never wiped. Medal range: 400-600. It's a great base but I do feel the donut has given better results. since its 99% of the time 0 storages lost.

Lanthal, I would maybe put the second ballista near the cat on the other side, like the one on the left. I feel the cat and ball cover each other nicely since they complement each other.

Nvm I think I fixed it I have one ball covering two cats semi near each other and then on the otherside I have the other cat and ball they form an obtuse triangle of coverage...my only worry is that I am too garrison and stable heavy on top now

I've always been heavy on garrisons and stables on one side because of the the acropolis, and I haven't really felt that it's a problem. I'm guessing it could be better to distribute them across the base, but all i'm saying is that my experience with all of them stacked on one side has been pretty good.

its better to stack them on one side. if their spread out they reach the enemy one soldier at a time and die without doing anything. when they spawn all together...they still die without doing much....but more than spawn piecemeal. also u get more out of necropolis when all garrisons together. by enligtenment garrisons, stables really start to hurt

Yes, I've noticed they are very threatening when you encounter the defenders in a bunch. I guess the Acro is a blessing in disguise ^^

Just wanted to add my experience with this base: this is probably the least successful I've tried. Blackbrain's classical base was my most successful, but with this one I've had nothing but 100% defeats! Seems the ring of defences gives the enemy a nice path to go and destroy. Need to change back!

Agreed. I just switched from the classical base to donut 30 minutes ago -- I never had more than a 2 star defeat with that one. This one, first battle was a 5 star defeat. They just rolled right through it.

Hi I would ask about the base because I attempt to copy it but it seems i lack of walls I already have the extra walls. My current walls are now 90.

One great advantage here that not everyone may have is Acropolis -- this is a brilliant Acropolis layout IMHO, and the third cat provides coverage so that all 3 are defended -- without both of those things though this may not be effective enough to stop a walkthrough as the hole in the center limits the defensive doubling/tripling effect that traditional 5-6 way partitioned bases have.
