My diamond mine is going to waste - warning to you

For all that are unaware, a diamond mine requires four workers to operate.

I placed mine yesterday when i finally got it only to find i wont be able to use it.

I specifically kept 2 workers available to hunt/gather so i could get this building and use those 2 workers on it. Had i known it would require 4 workers i wouldnt have wasted my time on the event and i sure as hell wouldnt have used the mine, i would have kept it in my inventory.

So just a warning to those that dont realize it takes 4 workers and dont want to waste the mine, dont place it down.

Thanks for the warning, I was just about to use it and realized I do not have enough workers to work the mine.

yeah that is trash, id rather my workers be used on something productive. Diamonds are way too easy to loot to justify waiting to upgrade/research for an entire week just to earn 41 diamonds(assuming you didnt sleep and could do it every 4 hours on the second.

This issue has been discussed many times. The mine already featured a couple of times before with exactly the same feedback from the community. I hoped this time around the mine would give more diamonds with less workers but, alas, my hopes have been dashed. Perhaps third time will be luckier.

It wouldn't be so bad if it refreshed every 30 minutes instead of every 4 hours. Luckily this is the type of event that you just finish through normal play, no extra effort required.

i would have never finished this through normal play though. i never have workers for hunting/gathering and its not my play style to gain 600 ntg/tg in raids in 7 days.

Even a 30 min refresh i wouldnt hold 4 workers to use it. I have too many buildings that need upgraded and im way behind where i should be on research. This is more or less just like the dock, a completely useless building for anyone that isnt maxed.

I agree it would be difficult for a Global age player to collect 600 goods through a normal play with workers engaged elsewhere. I used a couple of hours of animal blessings with 6 workers early on to get the troop cards. Then just left two citizens to pick up stray animals, cider and mine and completed the rest of the event just now.

For Atomic age it's 720 TG (and keep in mind that if I win 2 ciders ,2 leathers and 2 diamonds it will count as 3 towards the quest)

Are you sure? My impression was that each good counted on its own for this event. I may be wrong, of course, but then I doubt I would be able to complete the event myself if just types of goods were tallied.

yep that's why I didn't go for it previous event and this time too, 4 workers for 1 diamond every 4 hours... that's i can get if i do 5* battle every 4 hours no worker cost, big joke for real

I aimed for the free cards, and got both. I might get #4, but I'm not stressing it.

I didn't bother with this event after getting the Rhetarius Gladiators in Step 3. Definitely not worth the time and effort invested to get the Diamond Mine.

Didn't manage to get the 720 TG anyway. And if 4 workers are needed I'm not even sad about this. Stupid event.

I had seen some feedback from when the Diamond Mine was offered as one of Marco Polo's trades, but hadn't seen this event run yet as a Community Manager. Thanks!
