My Introduction

Hello all,
My name is Chris but I generally go by the username of Maed or Maedhros (an Elf king in JRR Tolkien's book "The Silmarillion"). I recently quit the game "The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle Earth," in which I ran an alliance for 2 years, and am currently in my first year of playing Clash of Clans. I've also played Civilization for 5 years. I discovered this game earlier today and it seems like a combination of Clash and Civ, so I instantly took a liking to it. I use the chat app Line, so if you want to chat with me download it and send a friend request to the ID iron_maeden. I intend to play this game for a while. Any advice, tips, guidance, etc is appreciated

Some initial questions I have:
1) What is the best use for crowns?
2) What is some general layout advice?
3) When does one choose a Nation?
4) What nation is best for somebody who likes to constantly attack?
5) Are there any good alliances out there who would accept a serious gamer who's new to this game?

With all those other games under your belt, you'll catch on quickly. This game has only been around a month or so and I've only been playing a week or so. It's easy to concept. You choose your nation when you upgrade your town center. It tells you what the nations are and their benefits. You'll prob want to be roman. Come join us at Arisen. We like new and friendly people and give a lot of advice to people who ask for it.

Should I use my crowns on speeding things up or for buying resources? Or is there something I should be saving up for? In Clash of Clans everybody saved up to buy builders.

Per each game, there is going to be some derision on this. I've literally never spent a crown and have over 700. I'm waiting for the right moment. Seems to me they are best spent on building things. Guess that is your call.
