Our Alliance used to be around 11-12.000 medals, nearly full always, immediately after kicking an inactive member we got one (< 1 minute). After the update we are getting maybe 1 member in a week - trying to maintain the member count over 40... Our alliance score went up to 16.000 in the meantime, but the frequency of getting new members did not change at all. Basically i dont get what was the intention of NEXON with this tweak and i do not believe it was even considered what an impact it will have on the whole environment.
I can understand that for new alliances the chance is a bit higher, but once they become larger (20-30 members) they will be hit by their own medicine of being completely invisible for players seeking to join an alliance.
So now we have the top 100-200 alliances being able to advertise themselves using the medal list and popping up in search result sets and then lot of well established alliances having 30-40 members and not getting new ones after kicking the usual 2-3 inactive after a season.
So nothing was solved - the top alliances are still on the top - as higher level active players when switching alliances will look to join a top group, whereas the the lower level and maybe less active players (kicked from their alliances for inactivity - not really interested in active playing) will have a chance to some newbie alliances of 15-20 members, where they will completely loose interest in the game after a while...
So here is a suggestion - since the donation and request records per player are available, why not base (maybe the average donation per day from the last few months for the player and the alliance) the suggested alliance list on these records?
