New members after the update

Before the last update we usually got a new member very fast after kicking a member. Now it takes ages.. Meaning hours/days
We are open w 800 medals minimum requirement - so that shouldnt be an issue

We're down to 10 on 10. Before this started we were running 30 on 30 pretty regularly. Had one member leave and another joined (for 10 seconds). Other than that we've added only the two that came after another member left in the last month.

The two hour maintenance is under way. I have seen some indication that Nexon recognizes the recruitment issue (finally) and that the change they made at upgrade 3.7 is "under evaluation". I am hoping that that translates into another change during this maintenance period and that the problem will be fixed. PLEASE REPORT HERE WHETHER THERE IS ANY CHANGE IN YOUR ALLIANCE'S RECRUITMENT IN THE NEXT 24 HOURS. If there is not there is more we can do. Nor do we see any change either, nor has anyone reported any change through our Line group about this.

I reviewed the sticky post "known issues after the update" for v4.0. That lists issues rolled over from v3.7. Nowhere in that thread is this issue mentioned.

We have only a passing reference to the issue being "under evaluation" to give us any hope that Nexon is addressing this. It is time we moved on to making this a more public issue by involving the press.

I've been getting more new members via game search. Not sure why you guys don't have any. Could it be people choosing other alliances instead?

We kicked 5 members yesterday at ca 1800 CET and Yellowmar left us after his short and friendly neighborly visit :)
So we are down to 40 members.. The last 14 hrs we have one new member joining us. It will be interesting to see how long it will take to get back to 46 which seems to be some kind of cutting point.

As written above we kicked a few members on the 28th... Since then we have had a few stopping by, but it is a real slow influx... we are now back at whopping 42.... so we have gained 2 members in 3,5 days (should be 4 but two were found to lack the characteristics of a good team player and were kicked shortly after joining) - good thing we are an active alliance with 33-36 willing to go to war at any time - give us some room to operate..

The same issue with my alliance. Before the last update we kicked players and we had new recruits in about 10 minutes max. Nowadays we kick some players and we probably have any new member after 3 days+. We tried everything with medals but nothimg. The same problem.

Here is what i wrote in the other thread

I Think I have found out why Nexon changed the new members algorithms...

They make most of their money on new players, starter packs etc... but they might get more money from veterans if the veterans feel the pressure from competition. nothing like the sense of competition to make people spend money...

So what do they do? They "push" veteran players to go to the top alliances where they will feel the competiveness and spend more crowns. Mainly on speeding up general regen, troop training etc... for WW. Nexon is not making most of its money from veterans on building upgrades - but from speeding up troops, gens, tactics etc... A dollar here a dollar there... u don't notice it . but it builds up over time...

So how do they do this? They make it much harder for most alliances to get new members by making sure that fewer new members visit them. Over time this will drain these alliances for members since inactives, poor donators etc are kicked... or kept just to keep numbers up... This will slowly start to kill the alliance.. and the veterans in this alliance will leave - and look for greener pastures in the top 100 alliances... where they then will start feeling the peer pressure and start spending... No coincidence they removed the top 500 alliance list at the same time they changed the algorithm... All those low spending fun alliances must be hidden in every way possible...

Nexon don't want a big "plethora" a fun and active but low spending alliances - they want MONEY!! and they think they have found a way...

Hmmm I should be market manager at Nexon

Viking Army has kept its low spending veterans - and will continues to do so - sorry Nexon

Nope, Tower, I dont buy that theory. I think it was an honest attempt to improve the search process, but it wasnt well tested or executed. This is typical Nexon in my experience.

I would like to see top 500 alliances bk. It gave u more exposure rather than posting in alliance gate where fellow leaders slate u for their exposure of their alliance. Uk super greens was at 35 now at 25 due to ppl leaving due to crashes or kicked for no show.

The slow trickle in our alliance came to another halt. Changing our group description and/or medals seemed to make us mildly visible for a short time. So many are getting frustrated with the game I wonder how many are actually seeking alliances to join? Obviously the issue is not important to developers.

Its a tragedy for the game that Nexon didnt respond to this issue sooner rather than later. Too many teams have been crushed by this. When a team loses activity it snowballs. It could have been stopped, but wasnt and still isnt.

Bumping to give these hurting teams continued visibility. Just revert the change already nexon.

Kicked 5 members due to inacticity today. So we are down to 41. Put medal requirement to 0 and open.
8 hrs later - not a single new member visiting..

Must say Nexon outdid themselves with this... Our alliance score is 14300.. Way below requirement To be a 100 alliance...
In the new Nexon algorithm we a completely invisible... I expect to be contacted by USAF very soon.. I bet they want our stealth technology...
