New Raider weakness: Traps

With a raider nerf looming on the horizon and the general trend towards slashing stats, I was thinking there might be alternate ways BHG could rein in raiders. How about making them more vulnerable to traps? The Caltrop effect could last for the entire battle (only on raiders), spike traps could kill as many raiders as were in range and/or do splash damage. This would help defend against raider attacks and force more skill in their use. What do you guys think? Any other alternate "nerfing" ideas?

Do you ever use raiders?

They are about the only balanced troop in the game. It's the spike traps that need sorting, a single one can kill 10-15 raiders.

Traps are fine. Caltrops already last all battle. Raiders need nerfed. Every other unit needs buffed and ai fixed.

Stop advocating to nerf the raiders, nothing wrong with them. If you have a decent base layout, you should be able to defend from raiders rush.

Hopefully, they will end up with increasing their cooking times, not stats or these crazy things like 'reduced dmg to resource buildings' like HC has )))

They've already got reduced damage to TC as it's not gold or food building

They have normal dps, buffed dps to resources, and probably will have reduced damage to tc(from their normal dps separate from not getting resource building buff)

I stand corrected.

So basically with a TC nerf, have to "spam" even more raiders to make sure of a victory!

With enough of a nerf they could be really bad at destroying tc, forbidden city, walls but great for resorces

Caltrop effect does not last all battle. If you watch a replay you will see that raiders are slowed for 10-15 seconds and then go back to full speed.

Never advocated a raider nerf. Read my posts. I think raider stats are good as is.

Oh u mean last that way. I meant like any units that cross it for length of battle are affected. Would this be only for raiders? Because caltrops are already the best trap

Yes only on raiders, shouldn't be too hard to code and would "nerf" them in way that would reward strategy on both sides of the fight.
