Cloaking Tactic:
Very short duration but hides covered units from defensive buildings and will not trigger new spawning. Would have to have a max unit or unit value cap in place. (Let's say nine. Enough for 3 Raiders but not for Artillery.) 4 seconds at level one. +1 second per level.
Will not work on Generals or Mercenaries.
Defenders already present will respond accordingly.

Multi-function Generals:
So I'm not there yet but at Level 21 Generals turn into tanks. Why not beef them up with some extra abilities? (I am not a history buff so feel free to tweak my ideas here.) All Buffs would have a range of 5.
Joan of Arc is very tough. Her nearby units gain a 5% health boost.
Cleopatra is beautiful. Nearby enemy units would be distracted inflicting 5% less damage.
Alexander the Great was a mighty general on the battlefield. Nearby units are granted a 5% damage boost.
Nobunaga unified his people. He will act as a walking "Betrayal Tactic" turning defenders/attackers to his side (equivalent to the limitations Betrayal Tactic at its current level. The difference being as units die he will recruit more.)
Napoléon is French. His nearby units will surrender at half damage lol!! (just kidding, had to get a jab in 😉)
From his Artillery heritage Napoléon will grant nearby siege units additional movement speed to effectively keep up with him. (Not sure about damage or rate of fire. I think speedy siege units would wreck havoc!)
MacArthur is the first general to start out as a tank. In addition to his main gun he would have a secondary machine-gun to suppress units with a 360° swivel ability.
He would also launch smoke grenades to confuse the enemy every 30 seconds.
Churchill will get something new. Because Britain absorbed so much bombardment in WWII He would also gain the benefit of being a mobile Anti-Aircraft Gun in addition to his main gun. Like MacArthur this would have a 360° range irrespective of the tanks heading. This would be equal to your highest level AA Gun. He would also gain a 3rd ability and place a Landmine every 35 seconds.

These ideas would make Generals a force to be reckoned with and not mere meat shields.
Please weigh in with your thoughts. I know I can get carried away at times.

Great idea, but details certainly does need a bit of changing;
Joan of Arc is, I believe, a calvary general, she can give a 5% dmage and health boost to all nearby calvary
Nobunaga, since he can recurit more after units die, should have a fixed limit around 5.
McArthur is a WW2 pacific war general, he can give a damage and health boost of 5% to nearby heavy infantry.
Churchill, he led Britian through the war, he can give a 5% health boost to all units

Tomson , while I'm not wholly opposed to your Joan of Arc proposition I would not be thrilled (as a player in general) with McArthur only buffing Heavy Infantry.
I also do not think any Generals should have duplicate abilities (ie: health boosts) as this would lead to an excessive health boost if both Generals were deployed. This also makes we wonder if Generals would be allowed to buff each other?!? Have to think about that...
