Versailles range is another good one, also why do some wonders benefits stay and others don't when they're destroyed.
If you choose a wonder it's because of the benefits, who cares if it's destroyed or not.

Any poll on things that need rebalancing that doesn't include sandbagging is worthless

I wonder how many people think that tanks should replace riflemen in shooting over walls? This change would probably put an end to all talk about nerfing the British.

In real life, tanks cant shoot over walls, at least not at close range. They would have to shoot through the wall first to get whats behind it.

A tank is but a field gun on tracks. Shooting over the wall for it is a matter of how high one points its barrel and how good is one's gunner. I have served two years in artillery repair in an army extremely well known and respected for its tanks and have seen these things in action.

The point of the close range is certainly valid, but we have had riflemen shooting over walls for a while now. Let's swap things around a bit, just for fun!

So you want to give a tank +10 rage or something ridiculous like that? At close range in real life a tank cant shoot over a wall and hit something that is directly on the other side of the wall. The tank wouldnt be able to get the correct trajectory to hit that building.

Quovatis, i agree with you and am not arguing that they should be able to shoot over walls. This topic is about tanks though.

The only argument i could give for machine guns to be able to shoot over a wall is, "They climbed the walls to shoot", but in that instance the machine guns should have to stand right next to the wall to 'consider' them climbing the wall.

In all reality, only mortar, cannon, helicopter, aircraft should be able to shoot over walls, and cannons shouldnt be able to shoot over at close range.

I'd say for redoubts all they need is extra range. As atm only defense that can do damage too british is mortars. put redoubts to say a range of +8 hopefully that will help.

but then the french will take over as the dominant nation. change 1 thing it creates more things too fix. Put redoubts to a range of say +8 so british have another problem too worry about

We should allow the developers some poetic license in how they interpret what each troop can or cannot do. All i am trying to say is that imagining a tank shooting over the wall and destroying something is less of a leap of faith than seeing a bunch of riflemen doing the same thing to my superupgraded mortar.
