I'd say if you waste more than 20% of the TB time getting the no opponent message, than that's way too much. let's be honest, we never want to see the message, as that's just a sign that Nexon had no clue on how to make this game successful.

I'd be surprised if any real whales are high on the leader boards. How many people who can afford to blow $15,000 on maxed walls can spend 2-3 hours a day grinding medals? My guess is that big spenders are among the ones with maxed armies and low medals that hit leaders for 3-5 stars and 10-30 medals.

Good point. But there are big spender whales all up and down the medal range. Were just seeing the ones that combined big spending with heavy playtime. If course we cant tell which are spenders and which are cheaters but their all on the leaderboard

I now have 2500 medals and the industrial age.
Yesterday I played two hours. During this time I had a hundred times to get a "no opponent." I won 6 medals in two hours !!! and after the lost 15. I read that after the upgrade, the truce will be doubled, and the search will be narrowed Range opponent. How to play next? Or the game is over for me? Why developers are not allowed to fight? It's the meaning of this game?

Mikar...wherever u ger ur information. Whoever ur talking to. They dont know what their talking about. Peace treaty is not being doubled for sure. Which means the opponent range being changed is probably wrong too. The opponent range is not something we know a lot about and i can believe bhg would tinker with it. But someone whos saying peace treaty are doubling doesnt know crap about what their talking about so i would ignore the opponent range stuff too

Might be referring to the forthcoming Negotiations chapter in the Library - longer peace treaties. Doesn't say double though.

Yeah library research tends to be like 5% this or that. So 3x research is gonna be like 15%. And just like the standing army research it can change. So it could be

2% + 3% + 5% = 10%

In either case anybody freaking out about double peace treaty doesnt know what their talking about just frustrated wild speculation.

Of course were playing the phone game here. The original information could have been longer pt and narrow opponent range(cause newbs cry about being attacked by high lvl players)

And that morphed over time into peace treaty x10 and opponent range +/- 1 medal

If we keep that up eventually the opponent range will be so narrow ill be attacking my own base. And breaking my own peace treaties

Actually I know some people who have spent over $10k on each game for multiple games and also spend a LOT of time playing, much more than 2-3 hours a day, so usually fly up the leaderboard of whatever game they take on... Usually young people with very rich families But none of the people I know are on DomiNations now so I can't comment on those we see now on the leaderboards lol. I get your point though, and from what I remember usually big spenders will spend on maxing their armies first then while blasting their way up collect the resources to upgrade the more grindy stuff like walls.

Well, I have never seen the no opponents message - and I am playing since May... I'm level 131... Was max medal count ca 1900 and something. So I do not get this "issue". Want to be high on medals? What for? The same bases you can get at the range 1400-1500. I see enough bases of level 160+. If you want bases for riding, you can sacrifice all your riders at a level 100 base. If you have a 5 star army, go and get the bases at my level. It is still fun.

Hey Gin. That makes sense. I was thinking of people who have become wealthy on their own steam, rather than those who have been given money by parents (I have no objection to either, and I hope both categories keep playing the game and funding it for the rest of us).

That's strange Mikar, I don't think most people at that medal range have a problem. I'm just over 2600, and haven't had much of an issue so far. I do have alliance members and friends in the 2800-3000+ range, and they have issues (some more serious than others).

Each player over 2500 medals is using some stuff for staying online at least. 90% of the top 500 are pure cheaters, with a hacked ap for a certain period.
Players with fat credit card are not necessary there, as they don't stay online for long time. I don't get this - it is pure masochism to get up in the leaderboard, meet only cheaters, when you get one at all.
I like to read this moaning here, cause it's funny, but I don't get, why some people take it so seriously...

If you are having fun duffing it in the lower leagues then carry on! Some others of us want the thrill that comes with higher competitiveness. If that's not happening then we'll push on and leave you to turn out the lights.

I just tried over 500 times before I could get an opponent. For those who have not seen the No Opponents message, here is a video: vid.me/CELK. You will have to run the video 2.6 times to get the full effect as like most players the hosting site gave up after 10 minutes of No Opponents :/

Ironangel please feel to pass this along to the devs so they can get a feel for what we're seeing. I have gone as long as 90 minutes before being able to get a battle ... Just run the video 9 times to see what that is like!

I have played at every medal range in the game, from 200 to 3300. The best loot per hour is at higher medal range. You steal the same resources like you would at lower range and then get 200k of gold and food on top as league bonus.

There are plenty of cheaters in this game at every medal range. The top is not worse than the bottom. I don't take it seriously, I play the same at 3300 as I did at 200, same amount of time every day.

If you think you're smart as you seem to imply, you'd already be rocking up at the top because it's more challenging and you get better loot. But you may be one of those who say I don't want to play at higher medal range because you just can't figure out how to go past 2000 medals.

All of us know leaderboard has a great deal of cheaters, but 90%, gimme a break!

If you don't want to get in the leaderboard, fine, just don't say everyone in it is a cheater, furthermore, being in leaderboard, doesn't mean you're just getting cheaters to fight against.
Let me assure you, that even with all the bugs an issues, by not climbing in medals, you're certainly missing the challenge and the fun
