I did say assuming northern hemisphere. No disrespect to our antipodean colleagues, but all of the nations in the game are northern hemisphere, so I believe it is a reasonable assumption.

This is hardly a first world problem and hardly something Nexon needs to weigh in ''officially'' cos as Brologna said - it's a ''silly'' debate - and I'm all for siliness ..... :D
I think it's reasonable to assume that the general population assumes that the Alliance gate is North, etc .....

In reality, the only people who need to take the position of the sun into consideration are the pilots - but that's only when dogfighting ..... so, since planes are only doing air-to-mud operations (attacking ground targets) .... some of the pilots are obviously flying into the sun ..... (wait, stay with me ....!) ..... and that would explain their erratic behaviour of flying all over the place and in the vicinity of defences - clearly, they're blinded by their own stupidity!!!! (oh, and by the sun too)

By jove, I think I've solved the riddle of the pilots' crazy aerial stunts!!

we are using a 'clock' way to determine where is some buildings on a map. 12h is alliance gate and 6h is a dock. the rest is easy to follow. you could describe every corner by a specifick number from 1 to 12. and no misscomunication then, we asking where to start attack or where is some traps hiden. :)

This is my take as well... I know on ios some of the features are different ... maybe alliance gate location is different too?

For the sanity of some of our members we quit calling directions and starting using landmarks - it's become a bit of an inside joke now amongst the group whenever we feel like teasing each other. We'll get the newcomers to ask the question now just a laugh.....Thanks for the comment btw!
