Here is the math on how much you're saving with the Notre Dame Wonder. If you don't want to sift through the math, just scroll down to Total Savings and you can see how much gold, food and oil you could theoretically save IF the library is completed 100%.

Anything that is multiplied by 2 or 3 means that there are multiple researches within that chapter that have the same values but I wanted to condense it to avoid too much repetition. For example, in CH 1 on the wiki, ''Pottery'' and ''Reinforcements'' cost the same total gold to complete so I was able to find the savings for Pottery and multiply it by 2. In addition the values that are multiplied by 10%, is the sum of that resource within that one book. I used values based on the wiki so if I am wrong somewhere and anyone would like to check here is the link... http://dominations.wikia.com/wiki/Technology

I will be doing one on the Armory in the future.

CH 1
1,550,000g * 10% = 155,000g * 2 = 310,000g
1,550,000f * 10% = 155,000f * 2 = 310,000f

3,600,000g * 10% = 360,000g * 3 = 720,000g
3,600,000f * 10% = 360,000f

CH 2
4,500,000g * 10% = 450,000g * 2 = 900,000g
4,500,000f * 10% = 450,000f
5,400,000f * 10% = 540,000f

CH 3
7,200,000g * 10% = 720,000g
7,200,000f * 10% = 720,000f * 3 = 2,160,000f

CH 4
9,000,000g * 10% = 900,000g * 2 = 1,800,000g
9,000,000f * 10% = 900,000f * 2 = 1,800,000f

CH 5
12,800,000g * 10% = 1,280,000g * 2 = 2,560,000g
12,800,000f * 10% = 1,280,000f
192,000oil * 10% = 19,200oil

CH 6
16,000,000g * 10% = 1,600,000g
16,000,000f * 10% = 1,600,000f
240,000o * 10% = 24,000o * 2 = 48,000oil

CH 7
16,500,000g * 10% = 1,650,000g
17,600,000g * 10% = 1,760,000g
16,500,000f * 10% = 1,650,000f
264,000oil * 10% = 26,400oil

CH 8
20,800,000g * 10% = 2,080,000g
20,800,000f * 10% = 2,080,000f
312,000oil * 10% = 31,200oil * 2 = 62,400oil

CH 9
24,000,000g * 10% = 2,400,000g
24,000,000f * 10% = 2,400,000f * 2 = 4,800,000f
360,000oil * 10% = 36,000oil

CH 10
27,800,000g * 10% = 2,780,000g * 2 = 5,560,000g
27,800,000f * 10% = 2,780,000f
417,000oil * 10% = 41,700oil

TOTAL SAVINGS:
22,050,000g
19,810,000f
233,700oil

Savings become 11% after Global Library Research. So the extra 1% should be counted for the Global Upgrades and afterwards. :D

this is good information, thanks.

to me, putting out the numbers directly is a disincentive to getting it .. because you can calculate how much that really is, and think of that as the opportunity cost/investment to get the others. those numbers don't look so scary if you're a pretty good raider.

Thanks for pointing that out, I will post the additional savings here to avoid confusion and to keep my original post clean.

CH 8
130,000f
208,000g
6,240oil

CH 9
240,000g
480,000f
3,600oil

CH 10
556,000g
278,000f
4,170oil

TOTAL SAVINGS ADDITIONAL:
1,004,00g
888,000f
14,010oil

These savings are contingent upon first completing part 3 on CH 8 of ''Heritage'' which will effectively make Notre Dame reduce costs by 11%

I like to think that the real benefit of Notre Dame is that it means you can enter an age and potentially be able to get certain upgrades without actually needing to upgrade certain storages right off the bat. I actually got field howitzers on my atomic base without a single atomic mill at the moment, all thanks to the howitzer discount and ND pushing the price low enough that I could get the unit with 3 global mills instead of 2 global mills and 1 atomic one (with ND alone). ND saved me a potential week of upgrade time and allowed me to take even more advantage out of a unit discount than usual.

100% Agree, especially since upgrades of mills and market become 5 days+ past Enlightenment Age. Being ahead offensively at the spawn of a new age is always a good way to start.

Yup. It's true for most of Gold and Food. But for oil, at least for me, ND plays a huge role.
For example, original price of 100k oil will be reduced to 90k oil because of ND. 10k oil will not be much if you can already collect 90k. But the pressure of collecting oil will increase exponentilly as the storage is filled. I can raid 3 hrs non-stop and get approx 40-50k oil and repeat another session for another 40-50k. Me logging out after the first session is relatively stress free. But the second session will be like a hard mode as I need to worry for (1. potential nework disconnect, 2. My mommy calling for work :D , 3 me falling asleep and so on) Of course, that is already considering the 8400 oil from the vault and whatever I may have in the CP at that moment (Usually 4k~6k) So, ND plays a huge role for me while collecting big amount of oil.

May be that have to do with me being a German. And as I don't crown the raiding army, I need to wait at least 2 to 4 minutes for them to rebuild.

Just want to say 22 million in savings isn't much of a savings. I raided for 78 million in gold last night alone. Give me any of the other wonders all day long

No way it's a thing called 7 hrs of training blessing and yes it's possible. And for your total savings is crap yea total looks nice but you save such a small % isn't worth it. Back to the raiding be happy to provide proof

Only took me 62 battles to complete the event. May want to consider the amount I raided in one night compared to your savings. On a side note aa walls cost way to much and my actual total was 53.8 million had to actually add it up. So my mistake besides the point. I raided more then the total savings of the wonder in one night :-/ seems like a smart wonder

While I'm at it go down through the top 100 alliances find out how many use that wonder ;-) bet you don't find 100 players. Upto 5,000 players. I doubt you could find 100. You might in the bottom half but it's unlikely. And im
not out to dis the savings. But it's in unlikely you will get it. You still have to upgrade buildings regardless of what you save. My suggestion is raid with training blessings you would be shocked to see the amount of loot you can gain.

Was never about the quantity of savings as some of the users mentioned before. It is about being able to enter a new age and without having to upgrade the mills as much as someone who doesn't have Notre Dame.

For example, if I had just went into Global Age, to get the Howitzer upgrade, it cost 8,750,000 gold in the armory without Notre Dame.

Players who just enter Global Age with max Industrial Mills have 7.5mil max storage capacity. You have to upgrade all 3 of your mills to level 12 to get to 9mil since that's the cap for Global Age.

Players with Notre Dame only have to pay 7,875,000 gold and only upgrade 1 mill to level 12 since that will put them at 8mil. Each mill takes 6 days to upgrade, so in total you are saving 12 days at the initial start for that scenario.

Also you mention top alliances don't have Notre Dame, this might have to do with the fact that it becomes not so effective after Global Age, so they probably changed which is smart.

Not everyone like myself does World Wars or is in an Alliance, so Forbidden city is useless to solo players.

Yes I'm aware this entire post is specifically talking about the savings in Library and not the Armory, but the strong feature of Notre Dame is the head start reduction in the armory at the start of a new age and the oil in the Library, not so much the gold and food in Library.

How do you find the time to raid for 7 hours? it gets boring after a while even if i could do that. I also saw you use 120ish green jacket rifleman, whats your attack strategy? i just recently switched over to the british and i'm having a hard time figuring out a good army composition.

It should be interesting to have the results cumulated with Armory, high level generals are expensive in petroleum.
