Man, I put a lot of time into this game because I have (had) hope for it, I bought the starter pack, and I've gone through all of the updates that are super hit or miss. This is definitely another miss. Nerfing units is just a terrible idea, especially THIS much. People invest a lot of time trying to upgrade their best units. I just finished the enlightenment age HC, and it was good for one day. Now it's a useless POS. I'm just gonna mass raiders now, and send them to their death for 300k/300k and use no tactics at all. Thanks for the balance...

not even 1 day of patch and 3 pages of people saying the games gone

just shows how much support there is to the patch huh? Oh wait, they dont care

This is why you dont cave in to your investors and release a crappy patch like this but oh well probably half of your end game players has left. BUH BYE

thanks for ruining the game with the HC nerf. guess I'll be moving onto a game that's actually enjoyable.

This is crap. But I am happy about the timing because twice a month I buy crowns and this upcoming week was suppose to be the time I purchased more. Now I can save my money for something useful. Also I was in the process of upgrading my HC unit.......that is also off the table. Great job Nexon.

Weakening units like you're doing is why there are soo many hackers there's no incentive to play fairly it would be more fun to cheat and wreck everyone how about fixing the soldier al or even better get rid of the stupid rally thing and let us contuously control our soldiers in the enlightenment age hand infantry become almost useless as they get destroyed before they get close to defences cavalry are absolutely necessary I'm not mixing and matching every type of unit and diversifying my army to have a half dozen different type of soldiers it's too expensive to keep upgrading them all its hard to stockpile enough resources

Also if you must weaken hc maybe also reduce the population cost from 6 to 5 or 4 and this update would have been fine

This is actually really impressive. I don't know that I have ever seen a gaming community so united with the same opinion. Devs, maybe you guys should try your hand at bringing peace to the middle East. =}

I'm convinced the devs are hell bent on making the players leave the game. Had so many friends finally quit the game today, that it's disheartening to think I spent so much time on it. I don't really know If the moderators are passing along the problems and concerns WE the players keep telling them about. Again and again we keep mentioning the same problems and all we keep getting is the exact opposite. This heavy cav nerf set the game back to where we were 3 months ago, on the back of an already horrible update. I'd like to say I hope this gets fixed soon, but that's what we said last time and the time before that.

Update is pretty good but I guess you Devs should work more on the defense which I think is pretty weak and anti-cavalry units are too weak as well I guess...

RIGHT!! theyre purposely adding bad updates so people just quit instead of them just shutting the game down and having it removed from app store.

This is the first time I've ever joined the forums for any game. Thanks to Nexon for screwing up the game so badly that people finally get angry and quit their games. I guess that office productivity must be up everywhere. Instead of fixing the hundreds of bugs, you decided to make all the troops crappy. Earlier HC's used to at least destroy the walls (and the two next to each wall) and then go on to destroy the defensive buildings, now they spend around 7-8 sec wall, that's around 14-20 seconds if they decide that they want destroy all the walls around it too. That's if no defending troops decide to interfere. So it takes around 40-50 secs just to reach a cannon tower protected by a level 8 wall barricade. How many HC's can a cannon shoot in 50 secs? Gatling guns have half as much health/attack/troop space but take more time to train. So you need twice as many Gatling guns to compensate and that takes 2.5x the amount of time it used to take earlier. Don't really know what the devs are thinking or they even thinking.

Balance Updates!

Multiplayer Battle Matchmaking Improvements!
- More competitive Multiplayer Matches!
- Gunpowder and Enlightenment Age players no longer match up with players who are more than 1 Age difference than them. No more Gunpowder troops storming through Classical villages!

I can understand what the developers are trying to do here; a noble idea, but I think it's a backwards step. Take a look at Clash of Clans, just as an example.

The beauty of being able to attack weaker/stronger players is resource loot. In the case of attacking weaker players in your same trophy range, they'll be trying hard to gather resources but will struggle to keep them safe. Easy pickings for the stronger players - and why not? The weaker players chose to be in that trophy range after all. And as for weaker players attacking stronger players, well so often I see poorly-designed bases that are just ripe for the picking despite them being an age or two above me.

By removing this choice, we're all going to be stifled and are going to struggle for resources, in my opinion. And what about the following scenario:

Someone in a low age, say Classical, keeps on attacking and gaining trophies against Classical players, and then gets to a higher trophy range, where there are no Classical era players. That means that person won't have anyone to attack, nor can they get attacked, in theory. So you could end up having said Classical era player becoming number 1 on the trophy list and nobody able to touch them.


Balance Updates!Cavalry Balance
- Cavalry damage reduced to 80/90/110/130/140 (were 128/144/176/208/224). Unique and Mercenary Cavalry changed to match.

I was finally happy the game had become pretty much well-balanced in terms of troops, and lo and behold this happens. Weak cavalry means it's going to be impossible for anyone to get 5 medals. Battle has already suffered with this balance update and has become much harder.

I also don't see this as a crown grab by the devs as some people have suggested, as crowns only affect rushing buildings and cooldowns. In my opinion this change has been poorly thought through, and I hope it is reverted soon.

LMAO well this game is dead. I've played a lot of games before this one, and admittedly haven't invested much here because experience told me that it wasn't a matter of IF, but WHEN the devs "update" it to the point of idiocy. My "special" Greek Elite cav units are now weaker than my raiders, so they are rendered useless. As a non-crown buyer I already had difficulty beating players 10-15 levels below me. Now, despite superior units and tactics, I can't win a full battle against ANY enemy due to the recent matchmaking change and cav nerfing. I'm not going to wait around to rebuild my entire army after every battle, especially after looting such small amounts. And I will NEVER AGAIN succumb to spending real money on a GAME. So I guess this game now becomes FarmVille. Good luck all.

Well put. Another addition is the fact that a classical age player can benefit alot from just attacking farms and caravans of an enlightenment age player. So an all around Nerf making it impossible to succeed, even with everything fully upgraded.

Bloody well done guys. Now cavalry is useless, good job 3 nerfs in a row, that's a hattrick. The infantry dies on mass, so what tactic we can use. Bombards on mass which will probably result in failure or Raider cavalry, which BTW now has more DMG than the Cavalry.

You are not listening what everyone is saying to you. Animal blessing was kind of a lucrative way, prior to this update now it is absolutely. I would suggest change the game name to Domihunting and your developers divisions should also be renamed to Destroyers, though it sound kind of nice, you better use Lamers.

Everyone waited for nearly 2 months and all that you offered is this POS. Better rethink these bulls**t, revert the last 2 updates that you've made, take a step back and think how yuo can really improve the game. Create a staging copy, invite people to test and tell you what they find goog or not. You probably do not have to pay them, just offer them crowns and that is it.
