our primary goal was to address the matchmaking issues we were seeing.
The ones complaining are the ones who like to raid a lot, yes? And they're likely to not need resources, yes? Did it occur to you to advise people you were going to make a change, put out a poll giving 3 or 4 options of the proposed changes to the times and THEN implement changes based on the majority vote - instead of a knee jerk reaction based on one-sided feedback?? I'm guessing ..... no.

I still think the changes are too severe - it you wanted to reduce the times, 50% reduction would've been a fairer compromise.

Greetings Leaders,

We are continuing to work on best possible solutions for the ’No Opponent Found’ multiplayer battle issue and the subsequent Peace Treaty duration reduction.

Today we are rolling out further modifications by increasing the duration of multiplayer, defeat-earned Peace Treaties to the following:
  • 2 hours increased to 4 hours
  • 3 hours increased to 6 hours
  • 4 hours increased to 8 hours
We are also implementing ‘Inactive Player Peace Treaties’ for accounts that have not logged in for an extended period of time. These accounts will have significantly reduced Peace Treaties for as long as they remain inactive. Once the account logs in it becomes active again it will begin receiving the regular, full-length Peace Treaties.

Work is currently underway on additional solutions to alleviate matchmaking issues while getting peace treaties back to their original state. We hope this latest adjustment will offer a better experience in the meantime.

Nice update, and also helps the NTG situation a bit as hopefully a lot of inactive korean/greek/japanese bases exist :)

Curious how exactly 'extended period of time' is defined but perhaps not stated so it can (understandably) be tweaked later.

I still think the underlying problem with the inability to find players to attack stems from not enough active players at high age. Getting players to the final group of ages (highest 3 ages) should be a priority. This means that all times and costs for upgrades for ages below the 3rd from the top (currently Space Age) should be reduced significantly, including upgrade times in the Armory.

if people can jump to space age in 12 months then you will see a mass influx of people to attack in the higher ages thus reducing the “unable to find players” issue. It will also make the attack pool large enough that you can actually release Drone Age, and at the release of drone age, space age upgrades should get seriously reduced to help players quickly advance to digital age.

It's better to have this type of ''small-steps'' approach than the previous knee-jerk reaction.
