Part of the problem with heavy infantry is that archers are just so much better than them in almost every situation. They are not terrible, but they are just completely outshined by archers (who I am starting to think should not be allowed to shoot over walls)

I think starting with +1 range on heavy infantry would be a good way to start and see how it goes. I think that change would do more to buff them than people realize, as they would dispatch their targets more quickly and not be vulnerable as long. A small HP buff might be useful too, but with such a cheap and plentiful unit even small changes go a long way, so Nexon has to take baby steps.

Infantry is useful in early ages, maybe later ages they become less useful, but still useful to clear trash buildings when racing against the clock

Saboteurs are the most useless. In 15 spaces I could have a cannon + heavy Calvary which honestly, I can control better. Ninjas weren't that OP, but same concept, less troop space and weaker is fine for me

i currently have saboteur and was hoping they'd get a large HP needed boost for industrial age but nope. They barely gain anything. I believe the best way this game can make them useful is to let them bypass traps as well defenses. Not the ambush traps considering troops are suppose to be their only weakness. They would be an excellent strategic unit if they didn't die hitting spike traps immediately. Waste of space til they make a change. In regards to the other troops i m kool with most of what we already have. Hope they stop nerfing heavy calvary and maybe make archers even weaker against walls n buildings. They're not made for eliminating a base by their selves....Brits lol. All in all awesome game and fun

11 shooters ? can they even take out defender cavalry ? i know chinese shooters are great but i usually need 30+ and currently 40 to remove defenders efficiently
btw am roman and the only thing fusiliers are good at is taking out any exposed defense building quickly, otherwise they get killed quickly and they r unreliable, and for ur knowledge they were able to hit through walls before they got this feature removed

The +1 range would be for just Fusilier and Shock Infantry. I think pre Enlightenment heavy infantry performs well without any issues.
