Howdy All! No wonder 99% top players happens to be Roman Pussies. If this game is all about winning then i don't blame hackers & bug exploiters for what they do i.e. win the game. Where is gaming passion & love towards history? Whats the point of playing this game if you are lacking the interest in history? Do any of those top players even know about the history of Rome? Do all of em belongs to Rome? I've not a bit of problem if these top pussies are having more wins cuz they chose Romans (which happens to be a myth). But in fact this Roman Trend is killing the fun, diversity & thrill of this game. Thanks for reading.

Its just human nature to take advantage of things, you cant blame their choices. And lets be honest as long as there are different perks for every nation, the majority of players will always be inclined to go/switch with the most superior one

I took Japanese when I started the game (because at the time, I just watched Rurouni Keshin). There are lots of people talking about Romans but I never bothered. (although their buildings look nicer).

When the Revolution option came, people complained about others switching to Romans. I didn't bother as well.

Everyday, I continue my raids. I came across players from mixed nations - in fact I seem to find more Greeks and Chinese these days. When I see Roman bases, I'm still able to steamroll them.

I'm now at Gunpowder Age and steadily growing.

I don't understand why would somebody just fire-up the game, scroll through the leaderboard and then go ... "HA! SEE!!! ALL ROMANS!!!" Then start to get upset.

So what if majority of the population are Romans? When you found a Roman base, their extra 10% troop ain't gonna help them defend it from getting bulldozed.

Instead of getting upset for nothing, why not just focus on doing something for your own base - i.e. layout design, strategy etc.?

Your words are true regarding Human Nature.
I was just saying- this Roman Trend is making the choice of Nations Obsolete.

Agreed, I can't say I've ever played a game of this type in which a majority of players opted for the more challenging civs. Gonna have to agree with Firedancer here, there are plenty of folks out there who prefer a challenge, seek differentiation, the path less traveled, etc. Alexander, do you have counter examples of this bygone era of spirited gaming over which you mourn?

History thing is just a 'hook' of this game, so you start playin'. Later on it becomes pretty hard, so you care about resources and medals in other words you compete with others and care about your progress. So it's natural that imbalance for rome which is indeed too high made players switch. It is smart to appeal to developers, so they buff other nations, not to players. Japan is the second strongest nation, imo, but I managed to grow steadily with Britain looting 80m of resources already.

When Rome defeated Japan in 1852 with an army of elephants and donkey carts led by General Cleopatra...my mind was made up....Rome all the way! Cant wait until they build a mortar on the moon.

Oh yea I forgot about the roman-sino campaign.

Personally the clincher for me was when Julius Nobunanga led the Roman army to victory over the china in 1548 using roman cannons, and magic arrows that flew down from the sky

Good going fellow player.
But i didn't saw such imbalance before "Project Revolution".
Before that, i saw top players with a variety...the nations they chose once.
