most players know that there are a lot of upgrades at the armory. by the time you're in the industrial age most of those upgrades take >8 days.

it would take a single general (93) days to get from level 1 to level 40. there are currently (6) generals so that's (558) days to get all generals to level 40. in addition, you'd need to come up with ~11 million oil to keep the upgrades going.

that's a lot of work for one building—especially considering that troops, factory units, aircraft & tactics all take an extraordinary amount of time and resources as well.

so, what (if any) change do you think makes sense?

while its nice to point out how long it takes to upgrade generals, etc. It only applies if we don't spend crowns. If we never buy and spend crowns, we don't have a game to play anymore.
Regardless, it'd be nice if generals could be upgraded at the castle and only cost food, at least until they start riding tanks.

i don't think it matters if the upgrades are split between the castle and armory. the difference in crowns spent should be negligible. it is still going to cost the same amount of crowns to speed up your general upgrade times or the time needed to collect the resources.

finding a use for food in the late game is another important issue but i'll save that for another thread.

i didn't mean crown expenditure if upgrades are split. i just meant splitting upgrades encourages not investing in the game, since you would be more efficient and there is no need to buy crowns. and then the game would be bankrupt.
That is why this suggestion was made right? A way to not spend money and progress faster. (which I'm not opposed to lol, i've been completely free to play)

I believe the upgrade of oil based units should be done in a separate building. We cook these units in different buildings (factory, air strap) why we have to upgrade all of them in just one building?

True but u could research two things at a time that way, a general and a troop
