sand bag penalty

for having inactive accounts, or that are not attacked in war. Many alliances make this just to be able to against opponents more weak (what is harmful for the weakest). The famous sand bags. If every attack did not be done by discounting 1 star, i think that the wars would level a lot. In addition, alliances with experience will receive new players as they will help mutually to improve their performance in the wars.

Actually the reason sandbags work is because each player has 2 attacks. Theoretically you can have 50% CWA and 50% medieval age and still win the war against a strong standard alliance.

So maybe we can counter it by limiting 1 attack only per member. That would not go down well with everyone but it will make the war planning activity much more interesting and eliminate sandbags.

Yes, it is another possibility. That at le least each member have to make an attack. The idea is that you have to penalize the sand bags.
A alliance with 50% of cwa 50% classic / iron, pairs with a new alliance with only indutrial members and gunpowder. And it is clear that you are going to win the first.

or only count the top half of the team when looking for matches - sandbagging then becomes useless (polvora es 'gunpowder age' en ingles Xabar)

I already proposed counting only 50% of the top team for matchmaking.....Thus, it would totally make sandbagging impossible.

Iron Age should not be allowed in wars. That's the first thing this game should do!

I have 4 or 5 sandbags most wars, because we get stupid matches if I don't, but I would love to drop them. Yes to any reasonable idea to not need them. I support only considering the top half of the team.
