People have to always find an easier way to play against other people because what the game offers isn't good enough for them.

What the game offers you, specifically, is that at 1200+ medals with 3 raids a day you will be unable to farm and will be farmed by higher EA players. Do not ask for this to be made easier for you. This should be good enough.

I'm really not sure who else's comments you're trying to address in that post, but you are getting hung up on this close app thing. Just don't do it. Send CS a formal complaint about it. And just move on- from trying to argue with everyone, maybe even from playing this game. It's really clear that it does not conform to your standards. I do agree we should demand better from the devs when there are issues, but ultimately, even in it's current state, there are some things that can be enjoyed in this game. If you can't find a way to enjoy it, then just don't play.

Djinn, close-app is a very annoying bug and I suffer more from it at 2500 medals than you at 1200 having to recharge my traps all the time and having logged attacks without working traps, loosing plently of resources. I personally reported it to support, it's 'won't fix' so far.

But it has nothing to do with more efficient playstyle, so don't mess things up. Even if someone is using close app all the time he won't be able to grow on medals or use his training blessing efficiently, so the real value of close app is like saving you let's say 50 medals a day, which I sometimes drop on purpose to have better opponents. Nothing much. Sometimes you can rob a base without dropping medals, that's it. So it is mostly exploited by people who targets higher medals, not max loot.

I went to higher medals not because I want to be in the top, but because my army allows to win max IA bases and league reward adds alot to my loot. If it'd be better at 800-1000 medals, I'd stay there and I played around 800-1200 for a long time.

So close app is not a real cheat. It is exploit which needs to be closed by devs. Now, it is semi-legit. You don't see any warnings on forum or in the game regarding it.

Dropping medals is like selecting the most efficient game difficulty. It's not even exploit. Game itself gives you harder opponents to tell you 'you selected wrong difficulty for your current army level, try easier one' if you don't understand this message, you have to suffer until you do

So what's the point of getting more medals? If it gets harder as you get more medals is the point of the game, but it's annoying to see everyone high levels farming low level people because obviously they are not good enough to fight the same ranked people.

Think about it. Everyone here is higher level, right? They are telling me they go really low on medals to make it easier, but then tell me that the game is too difficult for me. See, I play the game as it is. I don't lower medals to farm weaker oppenents, I play equal level bases.

Maybe I need to lower my medals so I can farm low ranking people to make myself feel good about not having a good enough base or army to play against equal bases.

Sounds to me that I'm doing everything right while everyone else plays lower ranked people to make the game "easier" for them. So why don't you all quit if you can't play against equal foes?

Djinn, high medals is naturally a zone for players having max or near max attacking power and skill. This is what matters, not medals or defense. If you're gonna pretend that you're 'equal' with weak army, you're gonna get punished and the game will create frustrating gameplay for you until you understand that.

You are also not good enough because hiding under 5 days peace treaties. It is MUCH bigger money cheat than dropping medals or close app lol )))

Because i only have 14 workers. 2 are kept idle for grap farming and wall upgrading. The other 12 been busy working on offense buildings. Now that thats done im working on defense but it takes forever

Defense is a distant 2nd in importance to offense. Upgrade ur offense and go to next age asap

If it helps, the Level in this game means the person is just very hardworking and diligently upgrading their buildings. This is not an RPG, the level doesn't mean anything. You don't get EXP for attacking people, you only get them when you upgrade stuff. For example, my level is higher than dbukalski's but his army strength and capacity are stronger than mine. Why is it like this? That's because of the strategy and personal preference. He focuses on Offense whereas I'm more towards the completionist mentality. Both has pros and cons. Because I upgrade everything before I advance to a new age, I'm less susceptible to the nerfs in this game. I can switch strategies on the fly. But for people who just depend on a specific unit i.e. Raiders, they cry like babies when they smell a nerf coming because that would break their one and only strategy.

I can consider myself a 2nd generation player (the generation after the game was initially released in other regions for testing unofficially). At that time, I was being advised by the 'seniors' to upgrade everything first before advancing and I have been doing that since it also aligns with the strategy in Clash of Clans. But then a lot of the seniors have left the game due to frustrations with the cheaters and bugs.

Also to note, whether you are on higher league or lower league, you are capped at attacking 1 Age higher, equal and 1 Age lower. So regardless of how low your medals are, at max you can only attack 1 Age lower than you. So, you don't need to feel dishonored by thinking you could attack an Iron Age player because it won't happen. Games of this genre is always about attacking players who are lower than you. If you want to attack higher level, definitely you need to employ some very different strategy but of course, you will always be steamrolled by higher and better players yourself if you forego defense.

I do not artificially inflate or deflate my medals. I don't attack exposed TCs. I only attack a base when it has vast resources. If I don't make it to 50%, I just take the medal loss. I also accept my loses when people attack me because that is how the game goes. That's why my advice to you is... just play it the way you want. If you can't progress, look for areas where you can tweak your strategy and style. It need not be following anyone's recommendations if it doesn't make sense to you and certainly you don't have to switch to France and start using Raiders just to be accepted by some people's personal standards.

I'm not sure where you read I told you to use the close app trick. It would be useless for you anyway. I was referring to dropping medals and using raiders which you keep claiming is cheating. You still haven't understood the mechanics of this game and keep calling cheaters everyone else who managed to move faster than you through the game.

This is a war game, there are wolves and sheeps. The strong prey on the weak, that's how this is designed on purpose. The main idea of the developers is that eventually the new players who are weak will be willing to buy crowns to catch up with the old players and be strong. If you think that BHG is going to change the game mechanics because of your weird reasoning living in lalaland, you'd better go read some phone app business models first.

Now, you keep complaining that you are a sheep being eaten alive. People give you advice to become a wolf and yet you seem to have some weird thought that being a wolf is bad so you just want to keep being a sheep but still make progress. Well, guess what, sheeps can't progress in this game, that's simple as that. This isn't farmville, taking a 5-days peace treaty to harvest your farms and caravans is not going to get you anywhere.

Anyway, I'm out of this discussion, it's pointless.

Hey Djinn, I think one point you may be missing is you claim you want to fight bases that are equal to your medal count. Most if not all the bases you're finding at 1200 are actually much stronger and should be at a much higher medal count but they have dropped medals to eat bases like yours.

They dont suck their just smarter than u. They know its a game. They use the game mechanics as they exist to gather the strength they need for the big push. I spent months at 200 until i was ea then jumped to #3 in the game and been hanging around there while gathering the strength for the next jump. u think ur in the olympics but u dont want to train because trainings for losers
