A few points here and there is besides the point, it makes more sense than what Imaera is saying!

Im not saying it shouldnt be that way, im trying to figure out exactly how it is calculated. The only way i can get to 78 dps is via my calculation. the other way is only 75 dps.

and what TinSoldier is tell me is they calculate discounts and buffs differently.

The discount is working:

Total Discount = (Base Cost * Event Discount) * University Discount

TinSoldier is staying buffs should work like Total DPS = Base DPS + (Base DPS *(Buff 1 + Buff 2 + Buff 3 etc))

I still cannot figure out how 50 + (5+5+15) = 78 because it only ever equals 75.

The stacking of the percentages as you have done (((50*1.1)*1.1)*1.3) is correct and how it has been done always. I say that from the Versailles buff which stacks on top of the Acropolis buff. So the final bonus with three separate bonuses of 10%, 10%, and 30% is 57.3% by stacking (78.65/50 or (1.1*1.1*1.3)-1) as opposed to the summation (10% + 10% + 30% = 50% which would give you a stat of 75), but that's HP/DPS stats which is very different from discounts.

I apologize for the confusion.

30% of the base DPS of 52 is 15.6. I rounded it up to 16 here, to account for decimal place rounding.

No, the confusion is, the screen shot has a base of 50 and you say its 52.

So if it really is 52 and that screen shot is incorrect; 52 * 1.5 = 78 which does match the 2nd screen shot.

If Imaera would have provided proper data half this discussion would have been unnecessary.

It seems it was just coincidence that the incorrect info base of 50 using the calculation as i had thought, turned out to equal the buffed dps.

So TinSoldier back to Imaera 's initial statement, why are discounts and buffs not calculated the same?

The screenshot is of green jackets purchased from Marco Polo, which supposedly are unaffected by university and library buffs, so those should be the base stats for that unit. Or not, if they sold global age shooters under the name "atomic age army". We do not have enough info regarding uits stats.

My apologizes LordJestix! I should have looked at the screenshots in addition to the spreadsheets, so we could be discussing the same thing. Now I'm curious to look into the difference between the Troop Tactic and the trainable unit.

Ultimately, the discounts and buffs are calculated differently based on where they're set.

Discounts (such as 50% cheaper upgrades) are set on the server, and override the previous values, while buffs are applied one-at-a-time based on your local progress. I would imagine there could be a "Factory Unit Buff Weekend" event, that would cause buffs to function in the same way discounts are factored. I'm not sure if this is something the design team has considered yet.
