So I use one of these Troop Tactics for a battle and it DOESNT get retrained? Once I use it it’s gone forever or am I missing something?

I understand that some people may want to hold on to some of those troop cards/tactics, but they do come around in future events and they do get stronger as you advance in age. It's a balancing act on when to use it or save it for better use.

If you want to try them without using them up, you can use them in challenges in your alliance.

It's good to save them but you should always take the max amount in case you need to finish something off and you're short just a few troops. I think the biggest problem is that people don't read the stats of the troop card and use them as if dropping the max amount of troops will automatically win the fight. Like armored cars and pirates, they target rss buildings first so it does involve some strategy.

In early ages keep them for cleanups/last minute deployments, as sileepuppee suggests.
The lower age troops might not be too tough but they're free, and useful if used properly.

I'm collecting them cause I like to collect at least one each of all kinds. I use those from troop chests and expeditions.
