Sudden Unannounced Maintenance

So, I was just raiding and I found the juciest target I ever saw. 300k of EACH RESOURCE. I dump in all my troops, seeing pretty quickly that I will not be able to five star. I sweep up all the banks and have collected about 299 of each resource, easily my biggest haul to date when suddenly... a message pops up. "Server is under maintenance until 19:27 UTC"

I can't click anything. There was no warning in game that maintenance was coming up.. now I guess I wait until whenever 19:27 UTC is and then if I can get the game to load (usually takes 10-15 tries on android to give me a message other than "you may be under attack") I will get to see if I get any loot from this. This is beyond frustrating. Why can't this game run like any normal game with announced downtimes and updates? Why can't I ever log in?

Sorry to vent, but maybe this is the tipping point for me.

*UPDATE* so once I figured out the UTC, the maintenance was saying it was over before it began. I reloaded and the game didn't start. It sat "starting" with no error message for 5 mins. I reloaded again. It ran. Loot in storage, entire army gone. So, I guess that's ok? I still wish there was some kind of warning of a server downtime.

Yea, this just happened to me. I literally just started playing. I managed to log back in, but my town centre, houses, blacksmith, barracks, etc. Have all disappeared. All I have is a road, a market, and a mill. And my cleared area seems so much bigger. I can't even build a new Town centre because I have no villagers, I can't build houses because the tabs have all disappeared. So basically, is this insanity the usual with this game?

The only problem I have with this game is consistent issues logging in. I have NEVER had an issue effecting my village or my storages/harvesting. But apparently the game has some... issues for others.

Don't worry the town center sucks anyway. Your better off without it. Then you will be impossible to 5 star!

Nope no trouble logging in, and game update hasn't started for EST. To fix your issues guys, go to your app manager and force close your game, then just restart it. It will start the auto update and all will be fine. ^_^

Hey, this just happened to me too ! My village is empty !


I've just started playing this game today, I had just finished the tutorial, started building a mill... and boom everything suddenly disappeared in my village. I can't do anything anymore now. Am I missing something ?
I've uninstalled - reinstalled the game, but it comes back to the same empty village. Very frustrating ! Logging out of Game Center does not help.
Is it possible to reset the game ?
I'm playing on an iPad Air with iOS 8.3

I'm sure someone else has said this or perhaps you have done it, but I strongly suggest you use the "customer service" option in the tab at the right. This got me a response to an unrelated issue after a day or so. Also, take lots of screenshots, because they ask for these.

That is EXACTLY what my village looks like. Very frustrating. Can you build any houses? Or are the tabs in the store also gone?

Yea, I did that. Hope they resolve the issue soon, the game itself seems like fun.

All tabs in the store are gone. I really can't do anything in the game. I'll contact Customer Service and see what they say.

Notice!! Don't erase cache in the app folder or app settings nor anything from SD, or else you will lose everything and will start from scratch. Just force the game to stop, then go back to your app and start normally.
Also, if anyone is using Bluestacks to play android games and cheat in it, Server will start banning mac adresses of users. Its something that most of you will hate, but that is the only way to get rid of cheaters from games.
