The Borg have Assimilated the Leaderboard!

Warning to all Earthlings! The Borg have Assimilated the Leaderboard! They do not eat, they do not sleep, they do not stop to take a leak, they continue to grind non-stop 24/7. Lol.

First off, I love this new Event and think it is copiously more fair than the last Event. On the first day of this new Event, I found myself in 49th on the Global Leaderboard after an evening of hard grinding. I woke up in the morning 188th. Lol. I cannot seem to break back into the top 100. I came close last night, but even stopping to take a leak, I would drop a couple of spots. Lol.

I am starting to wonder if the folks at the top of the Leaderboard are Borg. They clearly do not work, sleep, eat, or even pee!

For the next Event, we need more of an equalizer for folks who work and sleep. Those who buy an Event Pass should receive 5 Bonus XP per Star earned in Battle instead of two. Just my two cents.

One other thought...I do agree with some of the other threads wanting a Group Leaderboard. In fact, why not get rid of the Global Leaderboard, and just do a Group Leaderboard for each age, but give awards - Legendary Artifact - to the top 10 in each group.

Thanks in advance for considering!

Player name 'Rob' - Star Trek Alliance. :)

It's possible that players are sharing an account and working in shifts to rack up event XP.

Tsamu - Very insightful! I had not even thought of that! My guess though is that once again, the top 100 is filled with Space Agers. Being able to attack Atomic Agers gives them a clear advantage. Less time need to retrain troops, no wasted crowns. It would be like me, as a CWA player, being able to attack Global Aged players. I'd hit every single one I found and bully right over them with scarcely a lost troop. Maybe I'm wrong, and there's an even distribution of Ages across the top 100 Leaderboard. But I want to see it with my own eyes. I would like to see the Names/Ages of the players in the top 100. :)

2 guys from my alliance are in top 15 and they sleep 5 hours per day, work 8 hours, and all the rest of the day they play dominations. With small breaks for food etc

they are commited to win the WW artifact. They have lots of patience and persistence. And its only for several days. not constantly. So, yeah, they miss life but they gain the artifact that will help the alliance as a whole during wars

I don't like the best rewards being tied to the global leaderboard. It feels like we're playing a rigged game. I'm guessing the very top of the leaderboard has a lot of shared accounts as mentioned above, with people playing in different time zones to rack up XP. Not technically cheating, but it means the rest of us either need to play 15 to 20 hours per day or just choose not to compete.

I would prefer they tied the big rewards to a difficult but achievable goal. In the current event, let's say 100K XP to get the new legendary. Then it's a fair but still very challenging goal, and it isn't subjected to the leaderboard manipulation that we are seeing.

@Wrathchild - I am curious to know if your two players in the top 15 are Space Agers? I am hoping that BHG will start showing the Names/Ages of those filling the Leaderboard.

nope. The first is CWA and the other Global age. Both have advanced age during the summer for the ages so they are relatively new to their age

@Wrathchild - That is good to hear...perhaps there is more Age distribution across the
Leaderboard than I suspected. I would still like to see the Leaderboard Names/Ages...it would be interesting. Are your two players 5 Star’n every base they attack? I am curious as to their method that sprung them into the top 15.

Another Suggestion for BHG: Folks have mentioned making the Leaderboard more about Skill Level than Grinding, and this seems like a very good idea. So why not give 5 XP per Star earned on Base Attacks, but give additional 100 XP for 5 Star'n a Base your own Age, and 500 XP for 5 Star'n a higher Aged base. Of course, this will only work and be fair if the Leaderboards are segregated by Age, having one Leaderboard per Age that you could tab through....that would be really cool to see the Names of those on a Skill based Leaderboard. They could award Legendary Artifacts to the top 10 on each Age based Leaderboard. This would encourage lower level players to continue to play the game and eventually repair their museum so they could use their Artifacts.

Funny story here, that would actually skew it towards lower-age players, so I think it aligns perfectly with your idea of having group, but no global, leaderboards. There are SO many poorly designed bases that were constructed with little, if any, planning at Enlightenment, for example, that I can five-star easily and frequently. as a GPA player. Together with +30% University research in both health and damage for my troops, my army easily rampages through Classical-Medieval defences, even against EA players that should be more advanced than me. (Very few are. Minimum level for IA is 80, my level is 113, that’s max GPA.)

It’s a fun time. If only I could donate my resources to alliance members.

the first has the pass, so he always 5 stars. He is a very good attacker.
the second hasn't got the pass, so he only kills defensive buildings, ends the battle, find another base asap
