The new balance changes

The new balance changes reduced the war academy tactics that required 2 spaces now only require 1 space. At first I was happy to see this, until I noticed they lowered the effects greatly. They market it as big improvements to help attacks, but they actually made them worse then before.

Protect used to last 30 seconds before library research, now it lasts 6 seconds. They should of at least reduced it by half making it 15 seconds. I would much rather pay 2 spaces to have it last longer. Now it's horrible. It's very hard later in the battle to get large amounts of troops in the tiny range of protect, so one of the main reasons it was good is that it lasted a long time. Even if it was now 15 seconds it would be much worse than before, but at 6 seconds it's basically worthless.

Other tactics are worse too, sabotage is 7 seconds instead of 30. Traitor has way bigger health loss, and with the heavy tanks hp also reduced its now basically worthless. I just think it's really funny, and also very sad and extremely annoying, that they say they are making war tactics better, when they are obviously ruining them. I sometimes wonder who comes up with these changes, they obviously don't play the game.

Please fix this. If you keep doing stuff like this people are gonna quit playing the game, including me.

I agree EBToon, what about players who completed researching Sabotage and Protect. Now everyone is on an equal footing. Protect was a favorite but now I’ll not use it any more.

Dear Domination team,
I got registered here just to leave this note...
I am an alliance leader, my level is 242, and I have the most advanced army in the game. I have been enjoying the game for 3 years. I have seen many updates that increased game complexity. Well, other players and I get adapted to them.
But the recent balance change made the HUGE difference: people stopped attacking my base to defeat it, just steal resources. We are not DOMInations any more, we are FARMERnations now.
Same happened to me: the 5 star attack I can reach now only against players ~30 levels below me. The balance change took away the JOY of the Victory against equal players. What are boredom!

Please stop messing around with rebalancing.
This game in a long term view is about evolving and wisely selcting helpfull upgrades and research that match a player's well thought out army composition.
All those decissions are taken on basis of the stats the units and tactics have.
If you change those and therby the rules of the game too often, in the end, long term players will just have everything maxed.
That completely takes away any upgrade or long-term strategy.
Of course there are transitions to be made when evolving in ages and the last massive rebalancing changed basically all the troops.
But sadly once introduced you cannot just roll back those changes. There is no undo option. This is not a n RTS where every time you play you start a bunch of new games from scratch.

@ alegs: I saw many comments about rebalancing and I agree with you that I'm now pissed off with these, but I must say that Dimetrius comments is the most brilliant one. What does mean label a game Dominations if you cannot actually dominate none of the opponents? I had to adapt my attack strategy as well and I'm still evolving. I'm not saying that the rebalance was not needed, but I'm saying Dimestrius is right.

To be honest, aside from protect, I'm fairly happy with the tactic changes they work in my favour in some ways. I use decoys and sabotage with my British army, I wouldn't say sabotage was really buffed much but the changes work out for me personally. I prefer being able to have multiple sabotage opportunities on different areas of the base rather than one long sabotage on one area. With the reduced duration you just need good army positioning and timing on the tactic. So having multiple sabotages that last less long mean I can target more areas of the base more at different times. After these changes I also take along 1 betrayal because everything costs 1 space, so I have plenty of room for my decoys and sab with this betrayal 😆

The health reduction to traitors in betrayal is understandable IMO, being able to steal a HT in battle is a very powerful thing to be able to do.

The change I'm not happy with is protect, I don't know why they reduced the duration of it so much. You'd be better off just using another tactic to stop the defensive buildings entirely. If they thought it was too powerful, I feel they could have nerfed it in a different way like reducing the % of damage reduction on your troops or something... Maybe it's ok with strength of the gladiator? The combo might be good in a defensive choke point where protect will allow your buffed troops to survive the damage whilst quickly taking out the buildings :D

I use transport alot, I see it almost as a constant war tactic if used well because of the paratroopers health 😆 Really good with a british army!
