Things i HATE in dominations

I avoid online strategy games because they include magic spells and super powers ... but i started playing dominations because its real life based strategy game like Age of Empires .. without magic and powers ... but then I discourged after i found a building " Temple" where u get blessings and power boost ,... statue of ancient gods to pray to get blessings ?? ridiculous , why religion in games ? i almost quit the game,,, but then again since im in classical age i will continue to play without the feature (temple building) but if the game continues to add more powers and magic stuff... I will sadly retired from this lovely game

Magic? I see no magic in this game. Blessing is a old tradition in the past. Tactics are no magic, only buffs.

Blessings from gods is close enough to magic. Compared to other games this game is mercifully light on magic. Tactics arent magic. Arrows....same as artillery barrage. Dynamite...same as bomb dropped from plane.

So u might as well quit op. Blessings, specifically training blessing. U will struggle to progress and quit without them. Pc games are that way >>>

You said it yourself - this is a real life based strategy game. Religion (deities, gods, idolatry, etc) has been part of human civilization most notably the Greeks and Romans. People did look up to their gods for blessings (crops, war, hunting) and they generally feel good for "answered" prayers. Just look at it at that perspective. It's not like these blessings are game changers anyway. You still need to plan accordingly and use your units wisely.

Let's see how powerful op civilization will become without religion. Religion was a big part of the greatness of all those past civilizations. Deal with it. And btw., if i remember playing age of empires, they also had temples and "magic" lol.

At least there's not a bunch of political correctness in Dominations. I kinda like killing all the animals for token amounts of food and gold. Also, the leaky oils wells and seeps contaminating the ground is a nice touch. Oh and the flooded farm fields wasting water when California is in the midst of a record drought...priceless.
