This game's FPS drops are getting crazy.

I've been playing this game for atleast over a year and at this point with my industrial age base it's getting to the point of unplayability. Like I can't even properly get wars done properly as my game's FPS will start to chug once units start amassing on the map. I'm guessing the only real solution is to get a new device isn't it? Anyone else getting similar problems?

When your device heating up, it'll start to lag. I know I have to cool off my phone before each attack to avoid lagging and crashing.

Moto G phone and some 8" Lenovo tab running Android are both clunky and laggy, the view is half zoomed in then can zoom a bit more. Takes ages laying down troops for an attack and that's only Medieval.

Because I can compare them to iPad Air, zooms right in and far out, fast and slick, can lay down an entire global army in <2 secs.

Granted, the iPad cost 2x the other two put together, but if I'd have started this game on either those Android devices, I would probably have quit playing - 'laggy, crashy PoS' as a review.

So if you're going to spend money, a 10" trinket from the nice folk in Cupertino is a distinct advantage and certainly better value than 20 pieces of Level 14 wall, can't sell them on eBay when you've finished.

But I agree with you. My brother plays DN on lenovo tablet and Im always like what the hell ....the army deployment take like 10secs, which is really bad during WW for example...
Good device definitely Better than those lvl 14 walls :D

I play on my ipad air with my main id and on my android phone, a samsung galaxy s6 edge with my second id. The game on both these devices runs smooth. No issues of fps lag or game shut down so far, except once or twice. So yes, you might have to upgrade that hardware for the game software, sadly its never the case vice versa. Game engine/software will always get more demanding to compensate current gen graphics.

Yeah it's a slideshow for me after I just deployed my army. I can't blame nexon for this though, my phone is getting old. It runs android 4.2 which is like 3,5 years old by now.

I play on iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6S with my main account, and the game runs fine most of the time. I do get occasional lagging in wars. But both devices never heat up too much.
My 2nd account is on Nvidia Shield K1 tablet, and that thing gets really hot. But it never lags, gameplay is always smooth. Dominations is set to max performance power mode, so that helps with smooth gameplay, but kills the battery. $200 for that tablet was really worth it, I even added USB ethernet adapter to avoid network errors - errors still happen though.

I think it's the android version, not the device. On Samsung tablet with android 4.2 the game runs 1 frame/5 secs. On an much older Samsung phone with android 4.1, the game runs smoothly. Also on android 5.1.

Yes, you are right. Android version also makes a big difference. But sadly not many android devices get these oem updates, and many stop after a particular android version.
