Welcome to the forums,

Some of these might help you.
Prioritize upgrading your offensive capabilities. Upgrade your barracks and blacksmith on priority. To do this, upgrade your mills, to be able to store the food required for the upgrades.
Once you upgrade your blacksmith, keep upgrading your troops. These don't require workers.
Upgrade your archers first (since it's your unique unit for your nation), followed by your infantry unit. Also, unlock the horseman unit. Raider upgrade can probably wait.
If you're at 35 troop capacity, try out an army of about 20 infantry and 15 shooters.
Keep attacking other bases, and gather food and gold. You might run into Enlightenment Age or Industrial Age bases too - if you find such a base, and if you find outlying farms, which aren't protected by towers or other defenses, don't hesitate to drop your infantry units to raid those farms and lose the entire infantry in the process. You'll have to retrain the infantry units, but, the potential to quickly fill up your mills is quite high.
Start paying attention to your base design. Place your town center outside the walls. Use your walls to create as many section (each enclosing about 4 buildings) as possible. Protect your mills, markets, and store house. Protect your catapult inside walls. Place as many towers as possible within these wall sections. Place your Command Post inside walls too.
Garrisons can be accommodated only if you have room left.
Start upgrading your towers and garrisons.
Once you've done this, you should be ready to move up to Classical Age.
Practice and perfect your attacks. Learn to use the rally capability effectively, and, as often as possible.
And, make sure that you've joined an active and a helpful alliance. Start participating in wars, if possible. The war loot from wars can also significantly help you in developing your base.
Hope this helps for a start. Feel free to ask questions as you play more, and we'll all be happy to help you!
Cheers and happy gaming!
