I find it amazing how when you're looking for a specific trade good or NTG the game seemingly goes out of its way to give you anything but. For example, I've been looking for metal for three days now, in roughly 50 attacks only on bases that offer metal I've gotten 3 pieces for my efforts. Managed to fill my cider, fur and leather several times though!
Same thing with NTG's, if you have four full and four you need you can nearly guarantee the ''random'' Montezuma ntg will be one you don't need.
Of course this troll RNG applies to plenty of other things too. Has anyone ever gone 8/8 or even 7/8 from fruit trees? I know 1/8 is not that uncommon. Remarkable given the 60% probability and usually during wars before instant retrain was a thing.
In short: There is way too much RNG in this game and how it is set up is bogus.
