Troop upgrade costs in The Information Age

Can please one of the Information Age players post the costs for upgrading troops at the armoury - riflemen, artillery, tanks etc? Thanks!

Well I am lvl 297 and still use mostly barrack troops. Just wondering how far I should upgrade my mills and markets.

I do very happily. The only factory troop I have is one armoured car for clean up. I have museum buffs agains heavy tanks and infiltrators and see them die in droves practically every day.

5 artillery, 5 tanks, 1 assault, 2 healing carts, 6 fighters, 1 recon plane, 1 armoured car and the rest shooters. British nation. All are obviously fully upgraded both at the armoury and the university including Saladin for tanks. Plus museum buffs for planes with the Statue of Liberty. So in any attack my priority is to keep the planes alive. Even if I lost all ground troops it is 1 hour to retrain at negligible food cost. Been playing like this for years.
So when I see people throwing 18-19 infiltrators on my base with tactics and generals and what have you it makes me laugh. Just babysitting infiltrators with planes against museum buffed air defences is a losing job. And those heavy tanks do not get too far what with Saladin walls and bastions in the way.

Heavy tanks are useless now, it's true. But to change the set of troops, it takes months for all their improvements..Therefore, all hold on to the existing pumped setup

I assumed people stopped using Barracks troops in Global Age.

So how high do you hit? I'ma Infiltrators attacker level 290 and I can hit up to, depending on luck, about 30-40 levels above myself in Wars with a defensive Museum.

I can't imagine you using Barracks troops against a savage DA base AND getting some stars.

I do not war because I cannot guarantee both attacks in 24 hours. But I can well imagine that my troop composition would not pass the muster.

In multiplayer I can usually take on someone about my level and hopefully get away with loot and planes, but not ground forces. Traps are the worst. Infiltrators were useless when they triggered traps.

Just to get back on track, do we have Information Age players on this forum to post the troop upgrade info? I imagine most of them would have their armouries upgraded by now. It would be very much appreciated!

Well, Information Age started last week. I am pretty sure no or only a couple of players are crowning armory, cause there is no reason if you are not using barrack troops. Plus most of us haven’t upgraded barracks and barrack troops since Cold War age.

Yeah, this is the situation for me.

Green Bird, you should switch to factory troops. It’s amazing that you can do so well with the barracks lineup you shared. It will be much easier with APC and RPGs.

I am pleased to tell you that it is not at all idiotic. I for one would hate to play a game where only heavy tanks and infiltrators were lovingly drawn and the rest just wireframes. I actually like the transformation age art very much and look forward to upgrading as soon as I hit level 300.

Beyond this, I have received some good advice here so far for which I am thankful. Unfortunately none of it is relevant to my original question. Could we please limit this thread to reflecting on amount of resources needed to upgrade barrack troops in the transformation age.

Well, I am pretty sure we will get the answer if you have reached Information Age. All other people will work on their factory and airstrip troops. My armory is level 11, I will upgrade it if I have done all other upgrades to max, probably 2023.

Finally there! The most expensive upgrade is 21,360 million for artillery, tanks etc with Notre Dame.
