Hello, I am the leader of the German Warfare Alliance and we just started a new WW search. We got an opponent who is much better in all areas of ages, levels, wall building etc.. we have no chance to win this WW BUT we are the favorite. We can only win 1 glory point but we can lose 853 points. We have no idea how this matching correlates with the distribution of the glory points, it should be the other way around. Anyone else with this unfair matching after the last announcement few days ago?

We have had some Alliances also report low Glory earnings since the new matchmaking changes. This likely has to do with the way Glory was calculated several months ago.
The team will be monitoring wars over the next several days and may make adjustments based on the findings.

The glory rewards for victory are based on how much glory each team has, not their strengths. So it's entirely possible to be the "underdog" and get less points for a victory than your opponent. That being said, there is obviously so bugs in the glory distribution since the recent changes to matchmaking.

We have the same issue. In our war I'm rank last and my opponent is 44 levels and 2 ages abovr me. How is this fair let alone competitive? People will get bored of this pore matchmaking and eventually look for other games that are a bit more competitive. This has gone on for far too long. The sandbagging and now this. I know CoC doesn't have the issues with their matchmaking that this game has. It's not a threat but a fact that you will lose a player base that's looking for a game thats more fair and with new apps everyday it's only a matter of time

We are in the same situation. Our last war we had 9000 more glory. Yea they only had 12k. We gained 6 while losing 17. The one before that against boss level, we are about even in glory we could gain or lose 400 both ways. Fair right? Now this war against gs*** korean alliance we all know who they are. They have 200 more glory than us, not only do they have stronger top bases than us but we can only gain 49 while losing 485. None of this makes sense. I dont mind a challenge. But is glory is so messed up and none of it makes sense

They have more Atomic bases and 2 bags. We have no bags at all. So I think the penalty of bags is not included anymore in the calculation of glory points?

In this 15 v. 15 war, their top 10 base avg is 191 vs. our 161.
They have 9 of 15 bases at AA and GA, we have 1 of 15 bases at GA.
This is ruining our alliance user experience....we've been warring together for 1.5 yrs....

TinSoldier, something is definitely off with GP gained/lost, we just got matched with one of top 5 teams, we are nowhere near to top 10, however GP are 70/138!!!!
How come they have less to lose when they are obviously higher ranked than us??

Today, we had a server update, which will re-calculate Glory more appropriately for the new Matchmaking rules. The newest Glory calculations will begin with the next World War you participate in.

In the war before last we faced a weaker opponent where we gained a few points (like 60) but could lose c 500 glory had we lost. However, this latest war (still in progress) we are facing a much weaker team but are standing to win or lose c 400 glory each. Does not make sense, unless glory points are solely calculated on the basis of how many your alliance has versus your opponent.
