To me it's almost pointless, a good idea, but this is one that wasn't thought through all the way.

I'm sure I've attacked two already. I could take on Level 198 with max walls, maybe not 5 star them, but when they have 30+ medals up for grabs at least 3 star them, but the last two just trashed my army to pieces and the captured MK3's didn't survive long either.

Those two doubled my loss total for the year!

Don't attack Level 198 bases for a couple of years until Uni attack research catches up.

If University did have XP similar to the Library a max out base would jump around 60 Levels, so not 198, but 258. And still more Leaders to come.

With two workers and every research lasting one day it would have been good, we could have used the gathering workers( i always have 2 free for cider) and gathered once a day...
really hope expeditions won't be similar

yea previously i had 3 buildings upgrading at the same time with 2 free workers for cider and metal now, thanks to university, i got only 2 buildings upgrading + 2 university researches and 0 workers and am forced to do university things or other players will crush my base/army

considering am still at lvl 1 university research which require 3 citzens/research,
later on 4 & 5 citizens will be required per research which means 8-10 workers only for university upgrade (2 simultaneously is the lowest rate of researching i guess)

Nexon probably thinks it needs to slow down the people almost maxed in global, in the hope that these people won't quit - because they have nothing to upgrade - before nuclear age comes online.

IF that's the case it's a stupid way to think. Workers for the uni is a bottleneck - and this game needs another bottleneck like we need a third àrse cheek.

Lol, maybe your right but, I think it's ridiculous to have to use 3 citizens. You would think the people doing the research would already be working at the university, not for us to have to send three farmers, builders, ect, to do another job they obviously don't have time to do.

No trophy for you, second place is losing! Maybe you should just give up and quit now! Nexon is here to make money off the spenders period and keep them interested in the game. Maxed out accounts are not necessarily cheaters, yes those who have extra money will spend thousand of dollars on this game. That is what the University does! I cannot wait to read all the whining and crying in the forum from players with the releases of the new ages and research to come. Yes there are many thing that need to be addressed in game play. Nexon those greedy capitalist how dare they make money off the game. The new upgrades will take a month or more, just think of the resources that you will need. The University was a great addition to the game imo. You are able to upgrade tactics and buildings without going to the next era. It has been a great discouragement against the lazy players using demolition coming in taking out the Mortars. You actually need to have a functioning strategy now to attack and be a winner!

The problem is that for IA or GA players they must upgrade all researches from previous ages - both in uni and library ch5, until they are at THEIR appropriate level. Until then it is a mix of under and over developed bases. And no one can tell who's who ;) Plus new age, new leaders, new library level and chapters, etc.

I wonder how many months/years ;) it will take until university upgrades will balance more or less over the mass of players.

And the Uni will never have been play-tested for real. It's impossible, we'd have to wait 5 years. Devs will have used Infinity Crowns to do the upgrades, test a few permutations, and release it to the guinea pigs. Which along with 1/39 medals/WW stalemate, match-making that they couldn't test either, means there's a 99.999% chance it's just as broken.

There is a bigger problem looming on the horizon other than workers; some people welcomed the non-XP, invisible nature of Uni upgrades, they like surprises. Well the surprise is you get your army trashed in 20seconds and a nice fat loss. As noted above, I'm sure I've hit a couple of max Level 198 bases already and got shown the door.

So from now on I don't attack Level 190+ bases, just move on to the next. Whether my already max Global army is stronger with the respective Uni upgrades that I'll finish about a year from now, I've no idea.

So over time more and more players will avoid L190+ bases and over time more bases become Level 190+. Just as you were back in Gunpowder, you learned quickly to avoid max out EA bases. And what will a Level170 base be like with many Uni upgrades done?

Basically the pool of attackable bases is declining from now on.

Up to now, Nexon/BHG have pretty much copied the formula of other similar games, now they've gone out on a limb with the University (and the forthcoming Holiday Package) - they might just have sown the seeds of their own destruction.

Totally agree with u. I've been telling people that there must be a way to say how many uni-upgrades players have but there are plenty of people on this forum that like the idea of surprise :rolleyes: and lose their army within 20 seconds. This happened to me as well and I have no idea why the hell did I lose.

And with uni upgrades what is the point of different graphics for defenses and more that - what is the point of having all the statistics like hp and damage? They tell nothing now :(

In example: is mortar lvl 6 still mortar lvl 6 or is it uni-upgraded lvl6 which makes it more like lvl7 (+30% damage). And is my uni-upgraded shock infantry enough to survive one or two of its shot? But hey - some people like surprises ;)

ie. uni-upgrade +30% damage is +30% to base catapult level 1 damage or base mortar level 6 damage or base+library upgrades as well? I can't figure it out?

Eddie F1 idk why i have that triplane issue too, sent 3 of them and they got shot down by a castle and a tower at a single spawn, weird

Lvl6 mortar with +30% Uni Upgrade is more like a LvL10 standard mortar, normal upgrades only add a few %.

And then can add a Tower Blessing for good measure. And Library for 10% more attack and make it fire 10% faster.

Mortars & Towers are the easy Uni Upgrades - have to do them then get past a couple of useless ones to get to the troop stuff around Xmas

Eddie F1 - Four àrse cheeks would theoretically give us an extra àrsehole - which would make the ''flight'' reflex easier by relieving(!) what has previously been a bottleneck in our evolutionary design - so you could say that four àrse cheeks is indeed an evolutionary step forward!

See Nexon, we need to reduce bottlenecks - evolution says so!!

Seems to me you guys just want an easy game... This game takes perseverance and dedication. Maybe try something different?
