Is it unreasonable to expect war search times to be at reasonable search times? Nexon, you’ve given us an Alliance member limit of 50. We are allowed to include up to 50 players for war. Why must we wait a 12-15 hour search time for a war of 30-35? Even then, most search opponents seem unbalanced. Is there something we are doing wrong? Please help us to understand and rectify this problem.

Also, why are reply’s often wrong after the recent update? Are you aware of this and if so when can we expect a fix?

It’s because there isn’t enough alliances that do 30-35 man wars unless they are extremely active alliances. It’s hard to get that many reliable players to do wars that size and because most of the alliances that can do wars that big are really strong alliances. I was in one that it was mandatory to opt in for war so we had 35 -45 man wars and couldn’t get a match even close to our level for more then 15 wars so I left and started my own and we do 10-15 man wars and get good matchups all the time.

we do 15-20-25 and it's never that long ... is there a cancel option and re-search with 5 less?

We are doing 10 player matchups and the wait time is about one minute.

We do 30 all the time. Very mixed results on time and quality of the match though. Anywhere from instant to 8 hours, mostly bad matchups these days. 35 tends to spin forever, 25 doesn't get any better matchups.

The matches are not just unbalanced, they are unwinnable. Like in our last match, where the enemies 27# is near max AA.

perhaps past an hour ... the game should just time out the search.
it's bad player relations to have games spinning for 8 hours.... if there are zero options just say so...
or have a sliding scale how long willing to wait?

it must be difficult to make an appropriate match; one where it's worth filling up the strongholds.
that's trouble; i want to fill those strongholds, and nexon wants it too.
when opponent is silly easy or silly difficult..... where ww is foreordained even with half the team sleeping ....
i'd rather wait for a better opponent.

matching algorithm can't be this difficult; perhaps it's matching UI that needs a tweak, with the understanding there won't always be an opponent.

We do 40 wars all the time. Sometimes get an instant match, never waited more than 5 hours. Usually get matched within 30 minutes. We tried 45 a few times, gave up after 8 hours. We are a mixed alliance with a level 235 CW down to level 16 iron, probably averaging out to high industrial. We get wildly varying opponents, but on paper we almost always have a chance.

i guess it's cuz of the number
fastest results are between 15-25v wars
and u won't find many alliances do such a big number wars except hardcore ones with sandbags

Long wait time for wars? Do smaller wars with fewer AA/CW players.

Stop merging alliances and taking all the higher level players and putting them into 1 alliance. Stop sandbagging. Stop excluding lower level players from joining your alliances.

And, stop complaining about wait times. Shorter wait times means more mismatched wars. I think it is a minority of alliances that deal with long wait times and a majority that deal with mismatches (and unwinnable mismatches).

And, yes, many alliances have stopped doing bigger wars because players opt out because they are sick of getting the mismatches (or that leaders have decided to do smaller wars to avoid the mismatches). Big wars have become demoralizing or have too high a price tag.

To all you heavy alliances: It would be great if Nexon would tell you all this, but I think they are too scared to because you guys are the heavy spenders, and they want to appease you, but the truth is that by nexon trying to reduce search times for you (or even get you a match), it means more mismatches for everyone else, which leads to attrition, which leads to less alliances searching, leading to longer wait times... and so it just feeds itself... ultimately it will (and maybe currently is) ruin(ing) the game. If you care about the game, you will adjust and stop demanding Nexon to solve your problem. There just aren't the heavy alliances out there to fairly match you. (Also, sandbagging really isn't an adjustment if you were wondering).

I will say, Nexon could help make alliances, running alliances, placing players in alliances WAAAAAAY better, and they could do a better job of teaching the game to lower level players so experienced players wouldn't have to do the work of introducing young players into the game(both of which would help with much of this problem long term by adding and keeping players), but I think we all know that isn't going to happen because they aren't that smart.

(Before you argue, Nexon could do a lot of things which they aren't doing.)
