Weekly laugh at ridiculous Marco deals

Ok ok, to be fair, there are some decent offers this week. The chest is good for 1 diamond, even if the chances of getting a building are very rare (nobody in my alliance got one). The ruby offer for green jacket riflemen is the best yet too.

But.....here's where I literally LOLed:

300 crowns for a single sieged recruit. That's 300 crowns for a single field howitzer. It's not a troop tactic, it's not extra, it's just a recruit that goes into your barracks. I can literally train one instantly for 2 crowns. If I wait 15 minutes, it's pretty much free. What reason could I possibly have to pay 300 crowns for something that I can get for 2 crowns or free? Ridiculous deal.

I'm happy with the Ruby trades so far. I mostly ignore anything that requires crowns. The chest gave me one trade good shipment, which I added to the other 150 sitting in my inventory.

But yeah sometimes there's daft stuff like I have an offer showing me complete 4 stages of savings in the library for £99.99????
Who is insane enough to part with that. That is my haircuts for 2 and a half years.

When Marco was first introduced, there were some great deals. With that said, as more time passes, Marco's deals get worse and worse.

My other acct was able to buy 5 the other said trade complete because i already bought 1 when it was first offered

Luckily i got pirate camp on that one chest the 5 chest gave trade goods and NTG shipments and merc contracts

i guess whoever coded it chose Howies recruit instead of howies card, am sure that's what's behind the scene
anyway glad i automatically skip any offer costing crowns cuz my eyes got tricked into thinking that it was howies cards only knew that it's a recruit after seeing ur post, would have been so painful to spend the bunch of crowns by mistake on recruits if i was one of the cash warriors lol

overall we should be happy with the deals and increased league/victory bonuses. its the right path to balancing free to play against pay 2 win and company needs of revenue. they're at least providing a path for F2P players to compete against P2P players without just handing freebies out, you have to work for it. Still grinding but slightly less.

I actually think that this Marco's visit has been one of his best so far. The mystery chests practically for nothing are great, even if one does not get a building. I finally spent rubies on the British shooters. Overall very happy with my trades.

mystery chests is a good addition. it's like playing the lottery but you always win something. in 15 tries (over 3 accounts) i was able to get the pirate building 3 times, and the rest were trade shipments.

That's perfect for the ''I want it now'' generation, for those people who can't wait 15mins!

the point is you can "get it now" for 3 crowns by training one, then instantly finishing it with crowns.

ven the trade goods were decent deal for the price of 1 diamond. MUCH better imo than the oil barrel for 2 diamonds....People will always complain.
