What are your thoughts on bazookas?

I finally got them - just the base unit - and l gotta say: GEEZ!!!

I'll start with the pros.
They're so fast they race ahead of the troops.
They're so independent they actively seek targets without the need for the safety & protection of the healers.
They race up to towers & shoot quickly. Two guys can easily take out any tower with one shot each and the tower might only kill one of them.
They pack a serious punch. A pair of them can decimate any building and most walls.

Now the cons.

Anyway, having said that, l gotta say: GEEZ!!! I've never had so much fun since the ninjas! These guys must be Texans, fed on a diet of raw beef & jalapeños. I only got them this morning and after half a dozen battles l haven't stopped smiling and laughing so much since the time my dog slipped on the floor where l spilled some furniture polish! Granted, l lose at least half my 10 bazookas each battle but the battles are so much fun. I don't even care that they're costing me more oil than I'm looting. Sure, l have to rally a helluva lot to keep them grouped and safe but I'm averaging 90-100sec battles now - even against high level IA bases. I swear l can hear ''yee-haw'' when l deploy them .....

Maybe l should just have a bazooka/healer army ..... ???!

I think once l start needing oil again I'll go back to my tanks but for now I'm having a ball with these guys. I would suggest that Nexon reduce their speed a little - not because they're uncontrollable but rather a guy carrying a bazooka shouldn't be faster than a guy carrying a Sten smg.

Anyway, would like to hear from people using them - do you like them? Do you hate them? Do they remind you of the Keystone Cops??

LOLOL.....Cool! I hadn't really tried them, just saw that they died quickly and moved on... will have to really watch them more carefully and enjoy the show!

Be warned: l watched, open mouthed, as two of them walked through a base - l was morbidly curious - and past numerous towers to shoot at HCs that had just spawned. The towers damaged them but no shots were fatal. These guys just walked past them, shouted ''t'is but a scratch'' and continued on their merry way after killing the cavalry!!! I didn't know whether to be annoyed, shocked, surprised or proud!

Yeah, l definitely think an all bazooka/healer army will be less stressful .....

@Eddie I was crazyshit happy , saving 100k oil while not even having one of the 2 upgrades of rafinery
I will take take that into account Ravenlord, still mk3's are the main reason why Im doing factory!

I mainly did the F4 upgrade to get rid of the old geezer quest, he's been nagging to upgrade since I went Global umpty weeks ago.

Can get back to having 3 timed quests, these are the real challenges in this is game

I got them yesterday so not much experince so far,but I used them to my both WW attacks (medium difficulty) and at lesst half of them survived those battles.They seem to be very good for 'multi-wall' bases because their damage to walls is amazing.Altough I can see that the range 3 might be a problem.OTOH I play with HT so that completely different way of attacking

All we need is to send about 3 dozen Texans to the Middle East - ISIS would be taken care of once and for all !!

The AI makes them useless. They're hard to control and not predictable.

I dont agree. After several days and huge number of battles with them I think they are predictiable, BUT their AI is nonsense. .

I spent hours of replaying my battles and focused only on their movement thru my army and enemy base. Biggest problem (as always) is rally. Their rally speed is probably 2nd fastest after moto raiders which is nonsense and thats the main reason they are unplayble during regular league battles. They are also really fast with their retargeting imo, and their movement is about the same as shooters (again nonsense).

To my surprise their dying 'ratio' is not that high. I battled maxed IA and some globals and mostly about half of them were killed. Which is good and bad at the same time. They bring tremendous firepower to your army (esp when you have BB wonder) and they are great wall breakers. I used different combinations of bazookas (only 2 +regular army, 4 + army with less howies, 6 + army without howies and more tanks etc) and I think they are playable during WW's.BUT you have to be very careful of rallying close to soome antitank gun, because thats probably the only thing (excluding foot soldiers) that can kill them. Also you have to be very good with your planes and take down lot of troops in their way, but I think that the speed of attack is worth it. With 2-4 bazookas battles are faster a LOT.

So if somebody likes to work-around the base after that QV, then it can be the right WW troop for you.I personally have time problems (to reach 100%) when standing against good opponents, so it might be useful.

Edit: I didnt mention why its not viable for league battles...obviously its because you would lose at least 200 oil per battle no matter what opponent you battle.

After numerous instances of watching them run by a bunch of towers and tanks to bizarrely target a tank in the back of the enemy forces, I've concluded that their AI is junk and not worth wasting my time on. I would understand if they were running past towers to attack enemy tanks (although this would still be bad), but I've seen them run past tanks to attack other tanks, which makes no sense.

If their AI gets fixed they will be awesome and I'll consider using them again, but for now I can't deal with the AI.

Now you can see why I use them for last minute clean-ups or when I want to have some fun!!.

As I said in my first post their speed is definitely too fast. No sooner have they rallied with your troops than they're off to go kill something! A guy with a bazooka shouldn't be faster than a guy with a rifle .....

Agreed. Plus if I have to take out enemy infantry with my planes to protect them then there's not much point in them really since they are supposed to be an anti infantry unit.

Not smart, cheap or practical - but fun!!
