What do I do when Temple is upgrading?

I'm in late industrial, and the temple is one of the last few buildings I need to upgrade. It's at level 5 and getting it to level 6 costs 4.5 mill and 4 citizens. The cost does not matter as I can just raid, but what kills me from upgrading this, and waiting for so long to do so is the build time. 8 days, that means 8 days of no training blessing. What am I suppose to do during that time?
I was hoping I could finish the rest of my walls to level 10 (about 39 left) but I don't think it would be possible without my training blessing. So what am I suppose to do for 8 days as I wait, Is it even worth it upgrading it to industrial level?

hmm no, not really. what you get is oil blessing and air defense blessing. oil blessing is good for 'dumping' extra leather .. but that's not huge and the blessing is much more effective once you've spent the time to upgrade your oil wells.. and maybe not effective at all if you're raiding to finish off walls.

air defense can make a difference (especially with maxed air defense), but it's not game-changing in industrial age.

i did it ... and have felt your decision. imo, having the experience, it's no big deal, you can punt it till global age.

Yeah, It feels useless to me at the moment. Has nothing to offer. I kinda like the look of a more advance temple to fit my advance looking base though. I might take your word and just wait until I am Global age.
Maybe then the 8 days of nothing would be not so bad compared to the longer waiting times that I have heard of for higher ages.

I was thinking of that. Might be a good idea, the temple is basically one of the last things I need to upgrade. We shouldn't give those citizens a break, they should be working 24/7

I simply never upgraded it anymore. I will if i know i can't play for 8 days.

No need to upgrade. The new blessings are not worth the 8 days and/or crowns. I've been fine at lv 5 for more than a year now.

The best way is to focus to raid very high oil loot even if u lose all your barracks army. Don't use anything else.

I always try to do one attack on very strong opponent for huge amount of oil and then I need to retrain all my barrack troops for 50 minutes so I go back to work
