Considering that this is the most hotly discussed topic on Forum, I wish that Nb4powerup or Seraphine would weigh in and let us know if the game developers have any plans to address sandbagging or if they think it is just part of the game and everyone should play accordingly.

I think from Nexon's perspective there is no question that they would benefit from changing the algorithm to address this exploit. Currently, the best strategy for winning wars is to create alliances where a significant percentage of the players are inactive. I would think they would want the glory system to promote more active players investing in the game instead of just the opposite.

yes, I will keep asking about this until I get an actual answer....

I doubt you'll get a definitive answer - but I'm betting you'll get a ship load of opinions, jibes & innuendo !!!

It has existed in wars for more than nine months--with this in mind, it seems odd that so many people are pushing for imminent change now while sometimes claiming that the game is suddenly being ruined by this technique.

I've been playing for nine months - only encountered this issue in the last month!

It seems that most forum posts keep reverting back to this issue.... even those who are doing the sandbagging want change and not to be seen as the baddies in this... please Nb4powerup and Seraphine get Nexon to respond on this issue as it is pitting your community against each other and particularly against the game. In the thread that was closed this morning were some great ideas... people all over the forum are posting great ideas... but apart from a couple of comments from my friend Nb4powerup that the issue is being looked at .. there seems to be an overall silence from Nexon.

this term refers to alliances including substantial numbers of very low level, iron age or classic, inactive bases in their war line up in order to draw weaker opponents and climb the leaderboard, its also, ive heard, a term used to describe a way to cheat in drag racing? lol

this is untrue. If it existed it was marginal. Now it's prominent because the strongest alliances which were used to use only global players only are doing it. Then it's cascading down through the ladder, spreading like a virus.

I've cleaned up this thread a little in order for it to get back on track. So you may notice around 19 deleted comments.
Aside from this issue being discussed internally and matchmaking being monitored, I don't have an official stance on this one. Tho, I am working to get something soon.

You gave me a warning for calling someone a sandbagger

Wow ...... Pretty clear you people only care about players who spend OBSCENE amounts of money on this game

That correlation makes no sense...even if I agree they care about money it makes no sense that it is because they are censoring language.

Phil it has existed in your team and perhaps an extremely small amount of other teams in the past. So small was it, that we ran into it 0 times. We faced a few teams with a couple iron age bases here and there, like 2-3 bases once or twice in our history of non stop wars since it was released. Now, we hit it in 100% of our wars at 40+. Of course people are pushing for change. Its a horrible manipulation of the matchmaking algorithm, creates a terrible experience for the players facing teams using the technique, and almost no teams faced it until now.

If I would be NEXON, I would tweak the matchmaking to ensure that stackers can meet only the stackers and do not communicate anything. Let them enjoy themselves, let them battling opponents with the same intentions and leave them in their belief, that the others are doing the same stuff.

To achieve this it is enough to add an additional criteria to the matchmaking algorithm ensuring that the members with the lowest level from both sides must be in let's say 20 levels tolerance limit.

Because in fact what is "ruining the game" for "legit" alliances lies not in the fact that iron age stacking (or sandbagging) is tolerated, but in the fact that the two different approaches are incompatible.

Slandis You got a warning for not only that but the other insults you called people. Keep it civil and it's all good.
