Hey all when I'm not playing an app that I really enjoy, because of waiting on regenerations, sometimes I'll organize information so that I can improve & learn more / be organized. Here's a spreadsheet for "DomiNations". I'm new to this game and I add info whenever I have the correct info & time. I'd like to share the sheet with you all to help out the community and any tips comments suggestions are welcome. Currently I have created only a page on the Nations. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...nYiCRfbdffQF02SWjjbGk6o/edit?usp=docslist_api

For Mobile Users viewing Spreadsheet: I use the "Google Sheets" app I would recommend downloading that app to view the link everything's no lag & clear. I would also recommend to "Request Desktop Version" once you load the link. "Click link" once it's highlighted click above the link (I'm iPod 5 user) so times at top middle so I just click on the time you will see the option for desktop.

I think you should have made a poll of which nation they picked and if they would change it given the ability to change. Then they could post the reason why.

I chose roman and saw the 10% troop increase immediately.Happy with them, the soldier unit is the main unit I use to wipe out bases so the upgrade to legion units works well.Quick to train and strong against all buildings is good.

I chose the Japanese, and I am happy with my choice. And when they add the nation change option, I'm going to pick the Romans because they are also good and I hardly get attacked as a Japanese. I think it is because no one wants to fight a town center that fights back. :p

I went French and overall I'm satisfied. I feel like we got shafted with a really expensive unique but the quicker I can play the better. I would not change.

I'd say that the only nations that really have any meaningful value are the Romans and Germans, because these are the only ones that provide any kind of offensive benefit. You can raid several times in a session, but you can only lose a single battle when away. So overall, offense matters more than defense. Furthermore, if you don't get attacked, you won't get the extra crowns that you get when you lose a battle. Crowns don't matter any way; what matters is being able to win an attack. Romans and Germans are the only ones that help you to do that. If you're japanese, you probably can't beat an enemy japanese at all, because they have insane defenses and you have nothing to counter it with, whereas the Romans get some extra troops to counter the effect of the japanese and chinese defenses. As for chinese citizens, they may seem useful early on, but in the long term, you will find that you don't really use all citizens simultaneously continuously. French and Greeks, really why do you need quickened time for attacking, when you don't have any advantage when attacking. If you want to play this game, you have to learn to have patience no matter which civ you play, otherwise you run a large bill. The british get some extra loot; its marginal and really, you are better off being able to guarantee a more successful attack which will end up giving you more loot than the marginal loot they give you. I myself chose Romans.

I chose Greek but I'm starting to regret them and I'm thinking about Japanese or Roman when we're allowed to switch.

I chose Japanese because I thought a TC that fights back is great and I just like the architecture. The extra peace treaty really helps when you need that extra time to generate some loot and upgrade However, the Japanese Town Center doesn't actually do much. It can only attack melee units, meaning it can only attack infantrymen, which also tend to be the best unit to bring down a Town Center quickly. Forbidden City doesn't fight back, so it's a bit of a letdown. It'd be better if the range improves as you Age up, I'm still on Iron Age, so I don't know about that

I chose the Greeks because of their long term benefits. I saw one person who regrets them but I believe that is because you don't see the economic benefits right away. I build or upgrade a building and I only get between 50-1000 gold discount and am only saving several minutes in construction. But as you advance further and further, buildings will get more and more expensive, taking longer and longer. You'll start to notice eventually. Choosing the Greeks is investing in the long game.

I picked the British for the long-ranged troop, and extra loot bonus. Currently, not regretting the choice so far, but being only in the iron age that thought may be subject to change.

I tend to agree here - When I was a lower level player I tended to want PT's to save, and kept farming and leveling up. I used to think I should have gone with a better nation for economics.

Now I'm a higher level, it's really about raiding, raiding, raiding - otherwise how else can I affort 2-3-4million bucks per spend? Now I'm happy I'd origionally gone for the Romans. Seeing as it's a war game, I kinda figured it would be good to have a bigger army. Now I feel that decision was a good one, and I'm glad of it.

I'm Roman, but kind of wish I chose Chinese.

The Legion is great, but it's rare that I attack a base where the 10% extra troops would actually make a difference. During the early ages, this only accounts for a few troops. I'm sure I'll be convinced in later ages.
