What's the point of playing this game if ....

I'm new to the game and the forums, just started playing for a week.
Already I see many complaints about h a c king and c h e a ting.
So if this game is fundamentally broken in this manner, what's the point
of diligently working your way up, developing your civilization by the rules,
only to have c h e a ters circumventing the rules then wiping you out with no effort?
And don't even think about spending a dime on this game!

This game looks like it has a lot of promise, but .....

Well, this always happens in all "new" games.
Like CoC had the same problems.
This ll depends on what Nexon and Big Huge Games do. If they take care of this game, they ll make better anty chets upgrades, ban the ones with cheats, and have a clean comunity.
Again, it depends if they take care of this game or not.

every new game has the same problem. some players cheat early on. they get banned and slowly slide down the player ranks

just enjoy the game and treat high level players who have cheated or spent $10,000 as end bosses.

The problem is they don't even discipline the cheats. Haki, 4u2nV, and a whole lot of the top players cheated and got away with it for months. Apparently it was fixed and I was like ok let's love on and enjoy the game. But recently forum poster have highlighted that he problems seem to have gotten worse! Anyway I'm over it. Me and my alliance won't spend any more money on this game and I know alot of big spenders who feel the same.

new games always have this problem as the developers find the cheating methods. just keep reporting them
