Notre Dame worth tons of resources by simply reducing the cost of the hundreds of the research and upgrades on the way.
Collosseum and Forbidden City are for defense purposes where Forbibidden City is more toward end game, and Collosseum is more mid game centric
Terra Cota Army I'm not sure.

And last but not least, it's not just the utility, it's also the aesthetics, pick one u like the most. E.g. you will never have the beauty of hanging garden or the greatness of the pyramid if u just blindly go acropolis, right?

I'm still in the Iron Age so I obviously haven't seen what the wonders do but I plan on either choosing Notre Dame or the Forbidden City. I've heard that Notre Dame can be helpful because later on, you will need tons and tons of resources to upgrade buildings/troops but you will probably end up loosing lots of your resources do to raids. Notre Dame can be helpful for getting upgrades cheaper instead of holding all of your resources and hoping that they will stay safe. Forbidden City can also be helpful if you plan on doing a medal run because if you put the town center and forbidden city far apart, the attacker may not have enough time to get them both. Since I chose the Hanging Gardens in the Bronze Age, I think I'm going to go for the Forbidden City to balance out the economy/defensive buffs, but I don't know yet. Notre Dame seems really appealing to me.

It's considered an end game wonder because end game is mostly about raiding and trying to achieve high medals. the Forbidden palace essentially makes your opponent destroy two town centers which can be tricky with the high level end game defenses. The coliseum produces strong troops at the mid game level, but won't be able to match the sheer numbers of high level troops. Personally i like Notre Dame myself because it'll be a while before i hit end game and i prefer the cheap(er) upgrades

what kind of troops does colloseum produce?

I'm pretty certain that I read as a tip on the loading screen, that the Colosseum/Town Center will produce defenders based on your highest level garrison. It does so for me, although could just be coincidence because of my age.

Note: These stats are buffed by my Acropolis. The First Wave time and Additional Waves time are usually 5s and 40s respectively.

Does anyone know what the Terra Cotta army actually does? It summons something — but what? What kind of soldiers? How many? Do they scale? The description is so vague.

Colusseum produces troops equal to the highest level barracks. Plus a "strength of the gladiator" once a day - that thing is nuts - cuts through walls/buildings with regular troops like butter.
