Will this game even survive???

I've been playing for a month or so and have loved the historic feel to it(ages, troops by nations...) but with all of the bugs and random shutdowns for maintenance going on, the Devs seem to have little time for improving gameplay and vulnerability issues from hackers. The issue I have is the setup for the game itself. The stronger your nation, the better your results from raids..this hurts the smaller nations, making a disadvantage even larger..BUT hackers and exploiters that have already come in in the first few months will RUIN it for newbies and smaller nations by continuously ransacking towns. Should I put $$$ into this when there doesn't seem to be others who do, but get ahead anyway?? Will this game survive the summer?

The majority of hackers seem to appear overnight with maxed up bases and walls and then disappear almost as quickly. There are also a small group of players who have been continuously using subtle exploits over several months, which is actually a greater threat. I have been playing the game for six months, have seen obvious hackers come and go and still observe the cheats and exploits of a few players who have been at it for months. I do believe this game will survive, as the general concept and gameplay is good. If Nexon take proper steps to improve their level of communication to the player base, this game can still be a winner for them. I do understand your sentiment though!

There will be an update soon (probably this week). And hopefully it won't come with a whole lot of issues. I have to say they have slowly dealt with many of the issues. Let's hope they can keep improving. I would like to see them support this forum as it will never take off until we get some response from the mods.

it may have some future if another "big" and "huge" developer comes in and saves the day.
supercell, space ape, tap4fun, naturalmotiongames, or zynga.
just maybe it might have a bright future.

Of course yes this game will survive, just keep supporting them by buying "some" crowns in the shop. In fact their fb page is active in updates, they're introducing some new units there the "Guerilla" and the "Gatling gun" guy . Slowly they'll enhance the game coz as of now they're lack of man power but later on they'll get into it. Just trust the management. We're still at enlightenment age as our max age and industrial age is about to come in the game very soon.

Yes it will survive and I already enjoy this game more than COC. It's a great mix of clash and one of my favorite games Age of Empires. Just give it time.

Yea i agree with you miasmic. I feel they are overwhelmed with the success of this game and they are playing catch up bigtime.

it will be interesting to see if they find a good balance.

Oh Idk Bootney, I believe more than 50% players that started playing in 2015 have quitted, hence makes the activity seems quiet up there.
But there's still a massive amount of players below Global Age either they're new or alts that will revive the game.
I'm sure our devs won't let us down
