World war needs a forfeit button

With the heap of ridiculous matchups lately I'm sure there will be many who agree, there should be an option to forfeit the war to save resources on BS matchups.

The blatant exploitation of sandbagging has given my alliance some polar opposite matchups.

Why waste 2 days and resources on wars that can't be won, faced up against pay to win sandbagging alliances.

Figure out some form of glory penalty, and make it an option.

Nexons's lack of willingness to take this obvious issue head on is destroying the community.

Yup. Should make it so 3 leaders/coleaders have to agree on it to prevent somebody going rogue, but I agree. That's why I always find it funny when people complain about potentially longer matchmaking with a more stringent system. I'd rather spend 2, 4 even 12 hours to get a fairly even, competetive, fun war than waste 47 hours on an insta-matched blowout regardless of whether I'm on the winning or losing side.

That would be nice. The ability to skip a war that appears to be a mismatch. We are having that problem with our wars now. Either we destroy our opponent or get destroyed - no fun either way.

Nope, can't do that unless you force a wait equivalent to the original war. It could be abused easily by alliances intentionally matching their own dummy alliances, then forfeiting 1000 times in a day to gain glory.

The glory system matters so much less to me than getting fair wars that this (despite the inevitable stupidity when someone figures out how to do it) seems like a reasonable tradeoff for the ability to ditch stupid wars and try again.

At the very least, they should put it in place as a test, so they can track just how many alliances would send the message "this was a terrible match", and then have a better idea of how bad the problem is.

You don't need the same wait as original war, just long enough to make repeated resets unscalable. Even if it's 6 hours before you can start the next war, that should be good enough. Alternatively, introduce an exponential increase, with first forfeit having a cooldown of 1 hour, and then doubling for each consecutive forfeit, resetting back to 1 hour after a regular war.

Anything under 47 hours (current total war time) will be exploited by the top alliances. Even one free extra win is worth it to them.
