I took down a base in world war for five stars, the result and battle show five stars, but the match replay stop at 97% and only show 4 stars for it. Anyone experienced this before? I'm innocent here! He might think I'm a hacker, as you know there's a lot in this game. Help

Yes, such bugs in the replay happen quite often these days. The battle result on the base and the battle log is accurate in such cases.
I don't think there's reason for you to get worried. Cheers! :)

I hit a base for about 93% yesterday, ran out of time and on summary screen said I took the base down in 3m32 for 100% damage. I was pissed with not clearing the base and when I saw the 100% I could not figure out what happened....

I once hit a base for one star, and repeat showed 4 stars. The difference was that in repeat three howitzers came from one side of the TC, while in the actual fight two howitzers came from one side and the third one came from the other side and was hidden from me untill I saw all my shooters gone:)

3 years later and the replays are still crap. Other games got their replays right on day 1...

I don't know why they can't pinpoint the three areas that most of the butterfly effect/points of divergence start: forest defenders, tc defenders, stronghold troops and copy them directly into the game's simulation of the battle.

Nothing will ever make things 100% accurate but the replays haven't even hit the 50% mark as of late.

They claim the biggest effect is university research not applying to replays. That's supposed to be fixed in the next update.

The replay can sometime be significantly off. The reason is replay does not actually record like a movie (snapshots). What it does is record the actions you take and the time you take those actions. Sometime (say a lot of lag) the action and time that action happens gets out of sync. Where this really messes up in a replay is if you rally a building. If timing is out of sync the building might already be gone so when the rally action happens all your troops move into the now empty spot which drastically changes the rest of the game.

This is is based on observation from watching my replays versus what I remember happening. I’m confident this is what happens.

Just had a replay in our war display a roughly 2 minute, 5 star victory for an opponent. No big deal, pretty standard stuff for an industrial vs a gunpowder. However the result says 36 seconds. Methinks it was one of the sneaky little time cheats so rampant in this game. Because if there's an over 3:1 disparity in replay time vs results time these things are in worse shape than I thought.

That would indeed be a significant factor. It's also absolutely mindboggling that the uni has been around nearly two years and war replays nearly a year and this was never entered into the equation. Well, mindboggling for most games anyway.

I'm not saying time cheats don't exist, but this can also happen to legit players at no fault of their own. The rare times it happened to us, we contacted the other alliance to let them know and work out an acceptable compromise.
