New Alliance leaders- whether you or backed by an experienced alliances leader, or just starting out on your own. Being a leader is not just throwing together a bunch of players and rules, and expecting to succeed. A good leader has to look at the whole picture, plan ahead, an sometimes making harsh decisions. Being an alliance leader is like being a quarterback. He makes the calls, but he cannot win the game by himself. A leader needs all his members along with his self, to make an alliance work. This means taking into consideration all your members needs. This will be especially true when your alliance has members around the world,in different time zones as mine has. As your alliance membership and diversity grows, so will your alliance rules. Though we all have a leader,coleaders, and council's to help run the alliance,aleader needs to hear all his constituents oppinions . After all, an alliance is a colaboration of many, gathered together for a common goal.
I hope you at least take a few minutes to reflect on what was said, and make yourself a well planned course of action, taking into account the members your alliance is composed of. Well, rules are important. I will somewhat debate you that rules are rather important to maintain the stability of what the overall expectation of the goals of an alliance. As a longtime leader, I will concur though that rules should fluctuate with the accommodation for the betterment of the alliance like you said before. I will also encourage new leaders as well that it is important to always encourage enthusiasm and communication in any alliance which honestly is best done by making sure everyone is communicating regularly. Something that often helps is by using outside communications such the creation of Facebook groups for alliances or using chat apps. Believe me, it so helps so that people won't miss m important information that is trying to be relayed since members are on at different times. There are plenty of free apps like Line which are great for this just to help those who don't know.

Ravenstyx- you are right,as so many alliances do not want to use alternative messaging apps like,line app or Whatsapp.Every alliance I helped put on the alliance list, after showing them how beneficial and informative alternative messaging apps can be, has started to use them. Often, seeing is believing. We also continue to support new alliances after putting them on the alliance list.
