There were five close calls between the United States and the U.S.S.R. that almost resulted in worldwide nuclear war. On the morning of November 9, 1979, technicians at Colorado’s North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) received an alert that the Soviets had launched missiles at North America. The President of the United States was ordered to board his doomsday escape plane, ten fighters were launched to intercept the missiles, and the U.S. prepared for a retaliatory attack. When it was discovered that the alarm was from a training program that had somehow been put up on the main warning display, panic subsided and nuclear war was averted. (Event lasts from 15:00 UTC 01/01 until 15:00 UTC 01/11.)

After careful calculations I think that current "5 Close Calls" events cancel the increase that has been applied since

That is, I have found that the "5 Close Calls" event gives 60% more oil but this is not cumulative with the summer event which made to last forever. It's 60% instead of 40%+60%
So, actually we DO get more oil, but not the way we expected to. I agree that we should be better informed on what's happening.

Some Number talking concerning my base:

well no3 base oil production = 63 + 40% from my research* = 88 + 60% from 5 Close Calls event = 140
well no4 base oil production = 77 + 40% from my research* = 107 + 60% from 5 Close Calls event = 170
well no5 base oil production = 91 + 40% from my research* = 127 + 60% from 5 Close Calls event = 201


*"Research Oil Production at the University under Amelia Earhart for +4% production rate for each level(5 levels)." and "Research Drilling Chapters 2 & 5 at the Library for +10% production rate for each chapter."

You are correct, in the way that you've figured the research and the 5 Close Calls bonus to your resource production. It looks like the base oil production you're using (and the same that appears on the Oil Well wiki page) already has the 40% permanent boost factored in.

A year ago (before the increase, the hourly base production numbers were:
Oil Well Level 3: 45
Oil Well Level 4: 55
Oil Well Level 5: 65

boosting all of these values by +40% will give you the 63, 77, and 91 Oil per hour base that your research and additional bonus are added to.

@TinSoldier thanks for answering! You've made it rather clear how the oil production is calculated and eliminated my worries for a possible oil production increase bug. You're right, I think that my visit to the Wiki DomiNations page was more than obvious, but I trust it as a good site, indeed. It wasn't possible for me to remember the numbers before the increase so, it was kind of you to provide them once again.
