If the developers actually cared and wanted to be fair to everyone, they should have upgraded all vaults to level 3 who had any of the Moctezuma research complete already.

Nice idea, and fair even to Nexon.
Everyone makes mistakes but I would respect Nexon a lot more if they simply said ''Sorry people, we f^cked up. We hope you forgive us and live with it the way it is''
I might not be happy but at least I'd feel that they were showing an ounce of humanity once in a while.

Wow, I am really surprised by this new change. So Nexon has gone to the next new level: we have no idea how to fix the bug we recently created so we treat it as a change. Nice!

You have taken away 4k oil from many people and still I don't see you want to do any compensation. Really? I mean the players havn't done anything wrong but you simply penalized them due to the bug you created.

Honestly this is just 4k oil and not a show-stopper issue but I really find the way on how you respond to a bug reported very disgusting.

To be fair, they haven't taken away 4k of oil (except where people didn't collect their oil before the upgrade), they've just taken away your capacity to store oil in the vault 'til you upgrade.
But it still sux!

I think these changes were planned beforehand and TinSoldier wasn't aware of it at the time, that's why it was first reported as a bug.
The official response about the vault change was too quick, and the changes too precise, to be made up in a day or two.
At least, that's how I see it.
Still sux though!

I am the one who havent collect the oil during the upgrade (and they told us not to in twitter) and I dont believe I am the only one. So they still have taken away 4k oil from many players.

evaluating this critically ... it's a fumble that they are trying to claim was intended.
if it were a design fix, they would have oil capacity go up with food/gold motivating you to upgrade it.
if it were designed that way, it would have been in the notes. (and would have provoked comment)

they are stoned. i am compassionate; i like stoned people ... but you have to double-check things.

Sorry but the fumble is ''what difference does it make if you have 12k capacity in a lvl1 or lvl3 vault'' ?
How did it hurt them before this change? Just a case of Nexon being a bunch of jerks!

from the standpoint of an aesthetically good game, it is an improvement.
the vault had a static oil capacity, and the much less important food/gold capacity improved by upgrading it.
thus, i have a level 1 vault and didn't ever consider upgrading it ....
so there is a minor fix there ... but yes the way they did it was insulting to us; we all felt that.
however, the resulting model looks more accidental than intended, so idk.

shukra If they had wanted to make it look sane, they would have added base oil to the vault in enlightenment, and then boosted it every upgrade thereafter (to hold a lot more than 12k by atomic). This fix is just ill considered and irritating - it doesn't change anything fundamental about the vault upgrade process, except forcing us to level 3 instead of 1 to get back what we already had.

It is a change for those who were storing 12,000 oil at the vault with the vault levels at 1 or 2, after completing the Savings chapters at the library and the Moctezuma researches at the University.
